Because LOLSORANDOM comedy beat out legitimate storytelling on Cartoon network. It may be the best lolsorandom show on cable, but a lot of us are annoyed that this show survived and YJ and GL:TAS is ded.
Die hard fans of the 2003 TT cartoon who think this show's existence somehow threatens to erase the older series from existence along with their sense of happinness.
That said, TTGo! isn't a very good show. It's incredibly hit and miss and has been more miss as of late. When it gets it right it's fucking hilarious but I can see why people would be deterred by the endless shitty dance sequences and obnoxious bullshit.

Its funny and is in line with what the rest of CN is doing right now. The only thing I dislike about it is the cheap animation. I'm glad they got the original voice cast and they reference events in the old cartoon and comics jokingly. Its a really fun show and half the people who complain about it dont watch it or give it a chance. Or lie about watching it so they can sound like they have more of an opinion. A parody is one thing, but this disregards much of the canon for the cheapest of jokes it could possibly make.
A good parody would use the pre-established details of the world and characters to make wit of the silliness and/or possible misconstruing of said details.
Instead, this show disregards MAJOR details and traits for the sake of generic one-off skits - the same that effectively every cheap "parody" cartoon makes at one point or another.
It brings nothing to the table that hasn't already been brought - and damn near everyone else brought the same thing.
And let's be clear, once more: A parody of any merit WON'T be a bastardization of the original content. It would expand upon it in a humorous direction, rather than disregard it for the sake of one stupid gag.

I really wouldn't mind the show if the characters weren't so unlikable. There's an episode where Robin has to watch the Batcave and tells the team for no other reason but to make them jealous.
Then the team proceeds todestroy the Batcave and steal Batman's stuffwhile Robin is on his knees begging them not to.
The team tricks Aqualad intoleading hundreds of his friends to their death so that they can eat shrimp at their barbecue. Beast Boy later tries to legitimatelymurder Aqualad for liking Raven because apparently Beast Boy thinks Raven is his property. The characters are unrepentant sociopaths mixed with hyperactive little kids.
Plus it seems like the only reason this show got made was to capitalize on the original Teen Titans, which makes the idea of the show bastardizing the original slightly more valid than someone comparing, say, Beware the Batman to Batman: TAS.
I'm not opposed to a silly superhero show aimed at kids, but if the priority was really making a quality show I think a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle cartoon would have been much better.

I liked the original. I like this one too. Maybe I'm easily entertained, but I find this show hilarious. If I could, I would watch this show all day, everyday. I like the animation, I think it's pretty solid, I mean it doesn't have to be an over the top realistic detailed animation, especially when the show is as silly as it is. I never got the appeal to Young Justice, neither did I like the animation. All my friends hate this show because "muh not the actual titans" and "it has to be serious". I still think its a great show, and nothing will change that. Those are just my two cents about this show

Because there's still no "action" cartoon on Cartoon Network, unless you count Ben 10. We're drowning in mediocre comedies at the moment, all the while we've seen shows like Green Lantern TAS, Batman the Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, Symbiotic Titan and Star Wars: the Clone Wars all come and go on CN in the past few years. Now we're left with things like Uncle Grandpa, Adventure Time which went from a show about adventures to one about teenage emotions, Regular Show, Clarence and Gumball. These cartoons aren't necessarily terrible but they don't suite the desires of many.
What makes Teen Titans Go a greater offense than the others is that it's a corruption of an action adventure that many enjoyed for reasons outside of humor, and Teen Titans Go is all humor. Teen Titans Go is a sign of the death of the action cartoon genre itself.

At first, I thought everybody was getting way too pissed off at a show that was just a non-canon parody of the original. I was actually all for a comedy series with just Titans doing stuff in their downtime since I always enjoyed the characters interactions in the original. And I thought the show was pretty damn funny at first.
But now, I'm starting to think that the show's humor doesn't have staying power and it has quickly become stale. I also have to agree with how obnoxious the characters are. I don't know what it is, but it seems nowadays a lot of people think that just having a bunch of dickhead people be mean and terrible to each other is now the pinnacle of comedy.
