Aside from the "Rosie the Riveter" vibe I get from Perci, none of the new character visual styles are very striking to me. I'm having trouble picturing any of them as cults of personality that Sega's cast tends to be. Maybe that's because none of these are geared to be action heroes like Sega's tend to be.
Maybe that approach will help even out the cast. Or maybe it's going to be boring with only 4 adventurers.

I actually liked Secret Rings and loved Black Knight. Heard the next storybook game was going to be based on Greek Myth. I have no idea what kind of gimmick it would have but wouldn't mind the game being made, especially if it had the same improvement over Black Knight that it had over Secret Rings. As long as it had an option to just push a button instead of waggle. Black Knight made my wrist hurt.

You know what I'd like? An on-foot sonic Racing game that borrows from the Modern sonic gameplay. And while characters like sonic and shadow would have boost, other characters like tails could fly over obstacles and platforming sections, and someone like knuckles can smash through alternate pathways to get to the finish line faster. There'd be a bit more focus on platforming to make it a bit more fair for characters that can't just dash through shit like sonic or shadow or something.
And since it's still based on Modern sonic stages, the main story mode would be exactly the same, just it'd be one character going through the levels alone.

Sonic Rivals 2 is a real improvement on the first. Better stages, bosses, more characters, god tier theme RACE TO WIN, 10/10 story. Metal Sonic and Shadows team was fucking great. Also Silver and Espio surprisingly work pretty well together. Knuxougefags got their bait and enjoyed it. Sonic and Tails team up was normal just fuck already. The unlockable skins were nice. I love the Metal Sonic 3.0 skin aka Shards original colors. Cards are one of the reason I like replaying it. Gotta collect em all. Some of the special moves can be a pain in the ass. Fucking Silvers shit. Fuck I hate racing him. Overall the game was great. Sonic Rivals 1 was okay, it was great testing the waters but only had 5 playable characters and meh stages. Also Eggman Nega being Eggmans descendant...that was some Sonic 06 shit writtan.

the race mechanic was rubber band AI, who ever you were against was always either ahead of you or a certain distance behind you
the branching path mechanic was ass cause you could never tell where you were ing, if pressing a certain button would take you to a new path or just launch you into a rap or just bounce you forward
the power ups were near useless the shots almost never hit and the traps had to be put right on top of the character to work.
the worst was probably the camera was too damn close, racing or running thou the levels was bad because you could BARELY see the level in front of you so branching paths were almost useless cause you never knew if they were coming or where they sent you, you couldn't look at the level which someone apparently took the time to make and thats a downer.
the bosses move too fast, you cant exploit a pattern cause almost every hit feel like luck. this is double in the vs bosses cause your also fighting a rival
and its bad cause these are all so fixable and this could have been an a great sonic spin off
