Every Starfire or Raven thread I see, 80% of the content is related either to the Titans cartoon or TTG. Maybe another 10% from the Titans comics pre-nu52.
And DC still went with "demon who wears a tomato slicer on her head" Raven and "can't be bothered to remember all the names of those interchangeable sex partners" Starfire.
I question the competence of DC's editors.

Speaking of angry Starfire, that one flashback episode has a much more interesting characterization then the one they actually used.
She's a brutal and violent person from a brutal and violent culture who sees the Earth. in comparison, as a place of astonishing beauty and falls in love with it. Positive culture shock.
As an Earthaboo she's really opened up a gap between her and her own culture, but it just doesn't use this idea. I think they already had an episode set on her planet before the flashback episode anyway.
