Unfortunately they were always taken over by fotm fandoms, but they were still fun. The guy who did the last 4 was chased off by vocal naysayers spamming every thread with demands for changes. You could make an argument for why certain things didn't belong, but spamming every thread (including long after votes have been accounted for) is just obnoxious, and in the grand scale of things this is just a passion project for fun anyway. The original guy should have put his foot down, and was a bit of a pussy blaming everybody for making his time hard when it was actually less than 50/50, but he still carried it up for 5 years. You can ignore the threads if you want, but "protesting" them just ruins it for people who liked the awards.

The people that make up the majority of /co/ only read comics that are storytimed, licensed comics like Star Wars or Street Fighter, shitty webcomics that triggers the 4chan peeps, comics that the live action movies/TV shows are loosely based on, anything from Shonen Jump, any CWC-like comic that is "so laughably bad, it's good!", and of course porn/fetish comics.
