How would people react if this episode was aired today?
Honestly don't think there'd be a lot of bitching because it's not like Bill was insisting everyone refer to him with correct pronouns or calling himself a transwoman or whatever. He clearly just broke the fuck down, and the characters all reacted not like "You're really a man! Crossdressing is wrong!" but "Snap out of it Bill."
Now, I guess SJWs could potentially argue that the show's implying a man could only think he's a woman if he's crazy. But he explicitly wasn't just trying to be a woman in general, just the specific one who contributed to his mental state.
There's also the "Hank and friends think suicidal people need to just get over it" angle... but that's the joke.
Perfect episode btw
Why did Lenore seem to dress in old granny styles of clothes? She seemed to be around the rest of the main casts' age, if not a bit younger. Not even Peggy would wear that shit.

Hank was born in the 50's, and for all we know that could just be a Sunday Dress.

It's not like they're Rockabillies or something. Pretty standard Texan dress.

Why do you keep calling him BILL?
They'd endorse Bill's right to play some kind of weirdtennistennisBOGGLE
Lenore episodes are the worst episodes.
