ITT: Almost totally unknown shit that everyone on /co/ SHOULD know about

>there used to be an entire company of Neal Adams comics called Continuity Comics
>it's exactly what you'd expect

Is that an autobiography?
>>
>Martin Goodman tried his hand one more time at comics publishing at the 70's with Atlas/Seaboard (one of the earliest efforts at creator-owned comic publishing but short-lived)
>>

Speaking of old school creator owned stuff, Marvel had a whole line of creator owned comics in the 80s and early 90s called Epic Comics. It was basically a predecessor to Vertigo except with less of a superhero bent (though there were a few cape books). Almost all the titles were creator owned self-contained works (usually minis with the occasional one-shot and a few ongoings) generally ranging from PG-13 up to soft-R content wise. Literally dozens of comics were published that are still worth reading to this day. One of the most interesting chapters in Marvel's history.

Cyber Rad was probably the only interesting title in that whole company, it was like a 80's Hair Metal take on Magnus: Robot Fighter

Innovation Publishing. Published tie-ins of novels, movies, and TV shows, and good girl art comics. It's founder leaving was that company's last straw.

Blackball Publishing was a small publisher in the mid 90's that put out a total of 7 comics before going under as part of the comic crash

Keith Giffen , Simon Bisley, Kevin Eastman, and Kevin O'Neill were among the artists putting out work there

They had a sort of power armor gladiator in an alien space arena guy that was good too, iirc.

But yeah, Cyberrad was actually pretty good, at least for the first bit. Sort of started going off the rails about the time of the reveal that the cyborg might be/was the duplicate/clone.

You don't.

Toyboy? Yeah, he was kind of cool too, like richie rich meets iron man. His butler was also another CC character named Monolith

I bought three of issues of Ms. Mystic, because I adored Neil Adams when I was a youngster.
I haven't read them since, and I suspect that's for the best.
>>
>>84535612

I first heard about them through their Child's Play, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Psycho comics.

I read the original Men in Black comics by Aircel yesterday, and they were pretty good (too bad about the cliffhanger).

The ones Marvel put out seem to be impossible to find online, outside of long dead torrents and fake looking download sites, so I guess physical copies it is.

Bucky was pretty good
kind of rode the wave of Ninja Turtle "funny animals going on adventures" hype but still it was pretty decent
