So has anyone explained why anyone in Civil War II gives a shit about Ulysses when pic related, Kang, Destiny, tens of other precogs and time travelers, and time machines are almost commonplace in the superhuman community?

I get Bendis is writing this, but this level of continuity ignorance is completely unacceptable coming from him. Especially since he's written more than several stories about time travel and precognition.

Ffs, Cable was at the victory party where Medusa introduced Ulysses to everyone.

Because Bendis
>>
>>84078336
Because its not traditional precognition, it's "future profiling."

A precog sees one possible future, but there's a near infinite number of possible futures, so a precog is super unreliable. Ulysses' power is basically to be able to see "in 99% of possible futures, this one event happens." and shit like that. So rather than seeing one possible future among the countless possible futures that has a fairly low chance of being the actual future, he sees events that are extremely likely to happen across all possible futures.

Where did they reveal all that?
>>
>Bendis acknowledging anything
>>
Honestly, if we're worrying about inconsistencies in comics we might as well all fucking go home. There's not a solo cape book that makes sense since cell phones were invented.

The main civil war book is bad, but inconsistency isn't why.

>I get Bendis is writing this
do you really, anon?

>There's not a solo cape book that makes sense since cell phones were invented.
How so?
>>
>>84078433
Recent X-Men book. Psylocke said it to Jean Gay.

>"Hey "Justice League/Avengers, got some shit going down rn, I can probably handle it solo but backup would be sick, send literally anybody, thanks"
>>
>>84078791
They could just call in other heroes via wireless communication.
>>
>>84078433
>>84078863
It's also explained in either Ultimates or Ms Marvel.

> Oh, you're busy? Nevermind then
>>
>>84078864
Good point.

Why isn't there a team-up app in either universe?

I mean, they already have a henching app.
>>
>>84078864
>>84078882
Ah, fair enough. I always just assumed that the Avengers are dicks and are off doing their own thing all the time. Iron Man blocking Daredevil's cell number would be great.
>>
>>84078910
So what happens when it turns out his powers are just as unreliable as the rest of the precogs.
>>
>>84078703
breh don't the motherfuckers already have earpieces anyway. it just adds to the stupidity
>>
>>84078918
Let's guess what everyone's ringtone would be
>Magneto's phone doesn't work because bis powers keep interfering with the network
>Charles refuses to buy himself a phone, telepath

Jubilee: Katy Perry - Firework
Colossus: La Roux - Bulletproof
Nightcrawler: Frank Zander - Hier kommt Kurt
>>
>>84078863
wait in the x-men civil war Ullyses saw the x-men and magneto team dying, since they didnt die you are telling me that the future that happened was the 1% Ullyses wasnt sure ?
>>
>>84078391
That just sounds like handwaving the issue away and saying "his powers just works better than others because fuck you, we don't care if the story doesn't work with established canon"
>>
>>84078982
How should I know? Ask Bendis.

that's his first rule of writing anything is to not give a shit about anything else.
Look, even my captcha agrees.
Read back to his heroic age avengers and tell me he's good in any capacity

They didn't die because they acted on intel that in 99%of futures they didn't have. If not for Ulysses, the future world have happened the way he saw it.
>>
>>84078391
How do they know that?

How can they prove that? Tony is the only one who bothered to examine him.
>>
>>84079361
Shut up and just buy the fucking book. It just works.

Bendis up in this muthafucka

So pretty much Destiny and Blindfold.

shush, the entire story hinges on Homer/Ulysses being their only source of future intel.

I wonder who's behind this post?
>>
based on the solicitations ( which says that in a later issue "his true power is revealed" or some shit like that ) and on how bendis likes to do stupid twists we will learn that he's not future profiling, but he's in fact a reality manipulator
>>
>>84082485
>Everyone being retarded is handwaved away by revealing that he was just subconsciously making them retarded by manipulating reality.
>>
>>84082554
It's perfect. It gives Bendis a built-in excuse for shitty writing.
>>
>>84082700
It also makes the entire event pointless save for the deaths caused by it and marvel gets to keep their money because retards already bought their books.

he did it before, you know

>The devastating fallout from the first half of this event is enormous and being felt in every corner of the Marvel Universe. The truth about Ulysses’ future-seeing power is revealed and it is a game changer. Sides are irrevocably drawn and the gauntlet is thrown for the biggest battle in Marvel Universe history. And that’s just the stuff we can tell you. All this, and the story goes galactic!

here's the exact synopsis for civil war II #5
>>
>>84078433
Various tie-ins.
>>
>>84079130
That's contrived bullshit. This is hack writing because alot of 'I can see the future' storylines are like this.
"Oh this happened because you knew about it so you made it happened or made it notgapoen'
This happened on Gumball with Banana Joe's mom's paintings.
>>
>>84082840
The worst part about all of this is that the end of the first Civil War Cap realized that they were no longer being heroes by fighting and causing senseless destruction. So he peacefully turns himself in. In CW II this poignant point is ignored and heroes are being retarded again.
