I think it indicates the main problem with Shauna's notion of turning Blossom into her new project. People aren't mysteries and you can't 'solve' them. Blossom was never going to turn around and become a new person because somebody showed her friendship. She's a vindictive, spiteful person who delights in inflicting pain and to expect her to be anything else is foolish.
