Yea, I think JG said the first few seasons were horribly off model most of the time and what we got was a reworked version, so originally koreans/storyboarder teams were more loose.
I guess it just got tiring trying to keep them closer to model. On some commentaries in the season 1-2 dvds he notes how bad it is at times.

Grilled Cheese Deluxe, right at the beginning of the series, and we now know they have a thing for astronauts, based on this new episode and that old one.
The doors are shaped like moons and that seems to be their logo, it was like that from the beginning.
Anyway, in that episode we see a woman with an eye patch, she's a part of the space station right across the street of Cheezers (I don't know if that stuck for future episodes though)
