Because, if the Avengers were his supporting cast, the movies would cost a lot more to make. But if his supporting cast is a bunch of little shit kids from Disney channel, the sequels will be cheaper to make. Besides, he will need his own sort of universe, like Thor had all his Asgard shit going on, or Iron Man movies had Pepper, Rhodey, Happy, etc. Even though it would be great to have a movie of him doing hero shit with Cap and the Hulk, you wouldn't ever be giving it a shot to be a true street-level Spider-Man tale

Still, from the Spider-man games on PS1, Spider-Man for me has always been on Playstation, so he's right at home there, to me. Too bad I don't have a PS4 though. It's a bit like Spider-Man 2, where it was a ps2 exclusive first, then released later for other systems. God it looks SO good.
