What was considered the "golden age" of Cartoon Network?
The first era was 95% airing old or syndicated cartoons, nice but not exactly going anywhere.
The late 90s, the era of Cartoon Cartoons, Toonami movies that weren't crap, and guaranteed new cartoons every Friday night. Felt pretty great.
the Early 00s, the live crap started seeping through and they started borrowing a lot of cartoons from other networks, but they started introducing original serial cartoons like Ben10 and Teen Titans.
Then the dark ages came, I don't see...

the later 90s half was what converted me from Nickelodeon. Nick had these shitty live-action shows i gave no shit about, while CN was all cartoons. It just popped up in a channel surf and i rarely went back to Nick.
Also I still think 2011-12? was a golden age for a while. The only canada cartoon was Johnny Test, and whatever...

This era would be golden if it wasn't for TTG, Supernoobs and Nu PPG.
Is this still accurate?
Nobody watches Regular Show or AT anymore.

I'm super out of the loop - what's the deal with Ultimates now, and how is white Fury on the cover of an Ultimate comic?
gentle bump
This came out like 3 years ago.
Fury was undercover and had a identity disguiser that made him look like white Fury.
Humphries Ultimates was really bad, then he left, there was an ok run, then the book ended, then there was a weird run with a completely different set of characters, then 616 and Ultimate destoryed each other, then Secret Wars, and now Miles is in 616 and so is the Maker (Ultimate Reed), and Ultimate Thor's hammer, but everything else is dead

Ultimates now is the only good book coming out of Marvel, despite being decried by /co/ as the "diversiteam". This is because /co/ are idiots.
Riddle me this, Batman
Why is manga better than comic books?
>>82762980
it depends sometimes mangas can be better and easier to get into because they don't have to share an universe with other mangas like marvel and dc do with all their comics
of couse there are also good comics that don't share multiverse but they rarely get superpopular because they don't get movies and tv shows
i guess the advantage manga has is that almost all the anime on tv is based on popular manga
and here most of the cartoons we have are original ideas that go directly to...

You don't exist in manga.
If you're going by Shonen, then it's because it's released more often, which (in a perfect world) allows the creative teams to safely play with all kinds of storytelling techniques without needing to worry too much about a single "filler" or non-plot-heavy chapter.
In other cases, I think the lack of color (as a whole) helps. Mangakas are handicapped in that way, but it also forces them to make the best of what they have -- facial expressions are usually more interesting and less perfunctory in manga than in Western comic books, for example. In...

If you were to actually train under Batman for about 5 years, how much progress would you actually think you would make?
Astonishing progress, you have no idea.
>>82762961
I would pretend i'm on a wheelchair so he will train to to be like oracle so he buys be a rad PC and all that cool stuff and play vidya, and if he needs my help i will say "i no, felicity's dad hacked me i can't help" and then pretend i'm scared for my life, quit, and enjoy my newcomputed while shitposting on /int/
>>82762961
I barely have enough control and discipline to keep up with my normal workouts. A man in a batsuit yelling at me and punching me would not motivate me very much. I'd probably just burst into tears and quit after a week.
So who else thinks she's wrong for not curing her cancer with asgardian magic?
>>82762667
On the one hand it's pretty BS to solve something that real people don't have much hope for outside of surgery and Chemo. I watched both my grandpa and mother die of it so i probably wouldn't like it if the writers went "Bibidi bobboidi no more cancer"
On the other hand I can appreciate that when you have a cure on hand but don't use it for "reasons" is comes across as stupid pointless drama. What they need to do is SHOW the negative consequence of using magic to cure...

Fictional stories shouldn't have to conform to your sensitivities anon. Did you get upset when Constantine got the cancer pulled from his lungs by Lucifer in his movie too?
>>82763518
I'm sorry to hear that anon. I can certainly understand why it would be distasteful. /co/ had the inverse of the arugment a lot when the cancer thing was first revealed, like, "why make it seem like there is something noble about accepting cancer when most people try and fight it with everything they have?"
In any case, to answer the question, I think the hook is silly because Jane gives an answer so bad she couldn't have made it up-- she says "magic always has a cost." When that...

Why is Cameron Stewart so obsessed with sexual harassment?
Is this his fetish or something?

I wouldn't know. Nor do I care, tbqh famicon.
>>82762195
It's the 3rd installment of one of the worst Batman fanfic ever publiahed. Of course it's shit.
>>82762155
It's a good read, if you don't pay for it.
Some friends got me this TPB for my birthday last week, and it's just been sitting in my shelf ever since.
I've never read any Daredevil comic in my life, so I ask you, /co/, what am I in for?
>>82762145
Why dont you fucking read it holy shit you DIDNT EVEN FUCKING BUY IT
>>82762175
Jesus, Anon, I'm sorry.
You don't have to get this mad.
I only wanna know if it's a good story or not.
>>82762306
Yeah, it's really good. It's the fullest realization of Millers time writing Daredevil. You can read it on it's own, but reading the first few volumes of Millers Daredevil adds a lot too.
Is this nigga suppused to be right? He has a lot of good points.
>>82762118
No. He's a crazy war monger who just gets in the way and helps nothing.
>>82762118
Yes and no, hes just a very rounded character
Yes. He's that guy whose purpose is to remind the audience that Lance and Ilana's existence is dangerous for humanity. After all, we didn't have to deal with all the giant monster bullshit until they showed up.
What is your ideal superpower /co/? What would be your ideal origin for said superpower? And what would you do with it?

Telekinesis
I'd get it by sitting on the couch and conentrating to move the remote to me.
As for what i would do, i'd probably lay waste to everything and everyone irritating me, starting with mecca.
I'm a basic bitch. I'd either want Superman's power set or some kind of Stand.

Time Travel
There's this one super heroine that uses it exactly like I would, getting help from future/past versions of herself, only to have to go back to do those things
I can't remember her name, but I remember in the first issue she kept fighting herself just to get some waffles and eventually went back in time because they were discontinued
How can Batman, Flash and Shazam survive the pressure from being that far underwater. Also WW needs oxygen. Lantern and Superman are the only ones that can survive down there. Also world not Cyborgs human side of his head cave in from the pressure?

Why doesn't /co/ like this show it is obviously superior to Avatar. It had better characters, cooler fights and Korra would kick Aangs ass. Overall the whole show is just way better and appeals to an older audience than Avatar. So /co/ why dont you like it?

I liked Korra, but this is an obvious troll thread.
