Now that DCU rebirth is out, are the before watchmen comics worth reading? I read Watchmen and loved it, but would reading these non-Moore comics ruin anything for me? Which ones are bad reads and which are good?
Read the Cooke ones. Ignore the rest.
>>83572465
I only read the Nite Owl and the Rorschach one, they were utterly forgettable and added nothing of note to the characters. The Ozymandias one has gorgeous art, at least. And yeah, maybe the ones by Darwyn Cooke are good, I wouldn't know.

check em out for the art, the writing sucks in all of them.
What is the best Captain America movie? And why is it TWS?
Thread theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i574Em3IrI
The Winter Soldier > Civil War > The First Avenger.
"Civil War" was great, but Iron Man hogged the spotlight quite a bit. "The Winter Soldier" was tighter and more focused on Cap and his journey.
CW > TWS > TFA
A perfect example of 3 > 2 > 1
Why is it the american superhero shows always hate the sun for the hero action stuff?
>>83572362
Because bright colours are childish duh, superheroes have to be made edgy with a washed-out grey colour palatte and grimy shadows or no one will ever take them seriously

> tfw i remember when he first shilled his video on this board
Kinda weird knowing its possible I've talked with the dude. Im a huge fan of his. One of the only people who's videos i immediately watch if i see a new video in my subscription notificatio.

Hopefully this episode will really get his name out there. BTAS probably has the biggest following of any of the superhero cartoons, and people will be willing to watch anything on the subject.
>>83572634
I'd bet it gets some attention but it takes a while for subs to pile up
The dude who analyzes anime OPs has only been around for little more than a year and just hit a million

Give it time it will turn out he was just possessed by space bugs or Palpatine from Star Wars caused all the bad events by stealing love

>>Conquers the world and tries to bring peace
They didn't even do that actually. Basically they just flew around helping people. There was no conquering, aside from kinda Namor. But fuck namor.
What would you think if Marvel and DC assigned every character an age and started to age their characters in real time so that every year a year also passes in the comics?
No sliding time scale and no characters the always stay the same age, everyone gets older at the same rate and only characters that are immortal or something like that get a pass. Even if they had heroes age at half that rate, it would still make it so that new characters would have more saying power since the older characters would eventually have to retire. More teen heroes would get the chance to...

That wouldn't work, some storylines take 12 issues to tell and only a day or so passed in the story.
It would be better, because it would for e them to stop recycling the same characters constantly.
>>83572022
There is that, but on the other hand, it's not like every story starts the day after the last one ended.
It would call for more time skips sine although it might take a year to finish an arc, once the next once starts it would be easy to just do a skip catch up. Maybe it would even encourage more one shot stories.
Stop fapping to me!

but I wanna rape you joker. I cannot contain myself at times. It's a slow roasted burning desire that Jim has been seasoning for several months now.
Sorry Joker, but I had to find a way to "rape" you that would actually make you uncomfortable so Gordon would get off my back.
I can't stop Mista J...
What does /co/ think of Zatanna? Why doesn't DC give her any love? Also post recommended reading
I'm actually kind of glad she's not in the spotlight right now, with the way that they're treating other female capes thee days, it's nice that she's still the same.

>>83573671
Oh shit, and her whole thing is magic. You just know that they'd push the whole Quirky Magical Girl thing on her.
Literally /co/
No, this is literally /co/

Well no shit.
>Captain America: Civil War's score was a little forgettable, so you can understand why Marvel Studios is turning to composer Alan Silvestri for the soon to be retitled Avengers: Infinity War - Part I and Part II. He worked on Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers, while other non-Marvel credits include Forrest Gump, The Polar Express, Night at the Museum, Flight, The Croods, and The Walk.
>The news of his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was made official by Silvestri's website where they announced: "We are pleased to announce that Alan is slated to score the Marvel films "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I and Part II." These films are scheduled for release in May of 2018 and May of 2019."

Fuck yeah, Silvestri's score on Cap 1 is one of my favorites. Glad he's coming back.

Hope we get to hear the individual themes of almost all the avengers in this movie
>>83573023
Frankly there are only 2 themes I can remember from the 13 last movies. The main theme from Iron-man 1 and the main theme from Avengers. Even then, they werent big deal. Most people say cinematography is the low point of the MCU, but Id say its the ost.
They should just get whoever did the music for Raimi SM, Hulk 2003 and X2 for the next movies. Those were memorable.
the only memorable tune he has done, is the winter soldier theme.
should have tried experimenting with something new.
So what's Marvel worse decision right now?
>Wacky comedic Hulk.
>Muh strong female character in Whor.
>Deviantart tier artwork Squirrel Girl.
>Female heroes are not real Mockingbird.
>The push of Captain Carol as Marvel's Wonder Woman and failing every time.
>Cheap cash in who gives a shit about making a good book Gwenpool.
>Captan NaziComment too long. Click here to view the full text.

whats that about mockingbird?
Completely ignoring the element of personal sacrifice that defines Marvel heroes.

WHO WILL WIN BY JUDGES DECISION!
In the end, just mash it up as hard as you possibly can.
