I don't feel the movie up to this point earned the right to have a twist this dark. Unlike Coraline, and even then the ghost children scene isn't half as disturbing as this.
How exactly in your opinion does a movie "earn the right" to put in a dark twist?
Are you saying its something the audience should be prepared for by easing them into a dark atmosphere? It packs less of a punch that way.
The twist wasn't that dark. Besides, the ending is the only reason the movie is so well-liked. If they had altered the twist or the earlier tone, the ending wouldn't have as much impact, and the movie wouldn't be very good.
Is it me, or is DC rebirth's lineup a little empty/stale? I only see comics derivative from the main players. Instead of rebooting the familiar, why haven't they done so with the unfamiliar? Tbh I'm tired of marvel raking the cash. There is just so much wasted potential,in DC. I know they can seriously up their game from both a comic book and entertainment perspective. So in short am I being a overly critical phagget or can DC do better instead of reusing key characters and decimating their already existing storylines.
DCYou was this, and Young Animal is coming soon. DCYou was full of unfamiliar, and it sadly didn't sell.
DC is not going to get Marvel's shares, but they make good comics nonetheless. If Rebirth does well, they'll most likely expand again.
Is there any better example of a series that struggles to hold up under the weight of its own continuity than X-men?
miles morales currently is kidnapped by Regent in some Spiderman book, and kidnapped by Anihilus in some Avengers book.
I cant think of many x-men continuity problems, unless you mean the time traveling characters like Cable or Bishop.
Can we all agree that humans are the most awesome and badass species in the entire /co/verse?
If humans are so great why do they need to breathe air? Checkmate, Baldman.
Did this ever get storytimed? If it didn't then come in and read.
But if it did ignore this thread until I bump all the pages.
So... How did part 2 if the Main event turn out? Dare I ask.
So is Robo-Noodle still a part of Gorillaz or what?
Steve survived being drowned while Jason died like a bitch in water.
What do you think he did after the events of Watchmen?
His old bio said he'd live to be 150
Using World War II as a precedent, the alliance between America and Russia probably fell apart almost immediately, so he probably spent the rest of his life creating more and more monsters to keep people afraid and working together.
Meanwhile in the Legion of Doom...
So it's agreed. We'll get one Cheese Pizza, one with Pepperoni and Pineapples and one with Olives!
How the hell can you think about food after what just happened?! I mean, come on! Batman just raped the Joker.
Who's the prettiest of the official Disney Princesses?
Note that these are only the princesses so no Alice, Wendy, Tinkerbell or Jane, etc. great as they are, and Disney doesn't count Elsa as one for whatever reason.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE UPDATE, CHOCHI?! IT'S BEEN MONTHS!
I want to believe. But my faith is waning.
Male or female?
THATS IT, I'M FUCKING YOUR ASS!
So why didn't Connie just use her incantations to free Steven from the grip of the Molagyur? Now Steven's fucking dead and they have to go do all this stupid shit regarding the Crystal Cove to get him back.
Like seriously go back to the fight scene and watch Connie in the background just sit there and watch, charging up her retarded Laser Sabre attack which she tried earlier to no effect.
While Steven uses his Atom Basher attack on Jasper, Connie could have easily used that Glitter Bomb she used earlier that actually seemed to hurt Jasper even though...
