And here's Sodor.
The Simpsons are POPULAR as fuck in Mexico
Why.
beheadings are popular in mexico
Which Simpsons? NEW Simpsons?
Not only in Mexico, but also in other parts of Latin America
Because people focus only in the old seasons and try to ignore (forget) about anythign related the new seasons.
Sadly, shows like Aqua teen hunger, Rick and Morty and Venture Brothers, despite having some cult following on the web, are not as popular.
Why does no-one hear ever talk about the Scott Pilgrim franchise? It's fucking great but doesn't get the attention it deserves.
cause its shit
>>77360058
guess who is the best character and makes Scott looks like a normie piece of cracker?
It's good, but it's also over and there really isn't much to discuss.
That said
>doesn't get the attention it deserves.
You have to be an actual retard to believe this. It's gotta be one of the most popular/famous non-cape comics out there, and it got a well made, well-respected film.
Fuck off.
Remember that episode of Chowder where Chowder committed infanticide?
>>77360018
Yes, but I don't think anyone talks about Chowder anymore. Damned shame too since it was actually solid.
Wasn't it alive at the end of the episode, just really hurt?
>>77360018
>tfw chowder will never come back

If you had then yeah Christ, keep up #79.
>>77359982
damn I didn't even catch that and I've watched the whole series through 3 times, most recently earlier this semester.
What does /co/ think of Cyclops?
I think Cyclops is a pretty cool guy. Eh bangs Jean Grey and doesn’t afraid of anything.
>>77359927
He was right
>>77359927
He's what Superman should be to become relevant with this generation there is a trend of boy scouts being written to be the hated Right characters and Scott does it very well to survive through a time like this where people want heroes to be even more assholes than before
Seeing as French animation is gaining more popularity, what should we call it?
We call Japanese animation anime, but we need a term for French (unless there already is one that I'm not aware of).
Any ideas guise?

What does /co/ feel about Johns bringing Barry back?
I personally have mixed feelings. I can see how bringing him back might undermine Wally's character growth but at the same time it seemed like wally was a complete character by the time they brought him back, also it's not like Barry was there for long considering he reconned the entire universe.
it wasn't like they did with hal, where kyle and the rest still had roles
everybody started sucking barry off as fucking jesus and it really did push wally back, then nu52 happened and wally got fridged forever
he was a family man, he had a good wife (interracial) and kids who were starting to grow into the next generation (which is the thing about the flash: legacy). it's like it's some stupid comic law that the only happy family can be the F4.
instead we got MUH UNSOLVED MURDERS, MUH I TRIPPED DOWN THE STAIRS WHEN I WAS 6 BUT THAT WAS ZOOM,...

Bringing back Barry isn't a horrible idea on its own merits, but Johns kind of fucked it up.
Which is a shame because I like pretty much everything else I've read that he's done.
>>77359457
This, honestly the comic should have been a Flash Family comic with stories focusing on Wally, Barry, Bart, Wally's kids, Jay, and Jessie
Then we should have gotten that Zoom corps event with Mara Thawne but no, fuck New 52.

I think the joke is the writer doesn't understand different religions.
>>77359162
I think the joke is that...
Um...
Christians are sheep who blindly follow stuff? Or, uh, "we're different" is ironic because to be a sheep is to conform to a mass belief. Or something.
We're different, although there are 2.2 billion of us

This is old and confirms nothing. He's hardly teasing a crossover.
>>77359114
Goddamn it, Rick and morty is like a whore of cartoons.
Crossover with each and every cartoon.
>He also added that there was a time where he and "Rick and Morty" creator Justin Roiland were both working in the same office for Disney Channel
Probably because he voiced a character.

/co/ what line does a comic artist have to cross in order to be considered a "Cartoonist?"
At first, i thought it was only limited to people on comic strips like Peanuts and Garfield.
But recently, I found out artists like Darwyne Cooke (DC: The New Frontier) is considered a Cartoonist as well.
So if it's not comic strips... and it's not the humor genre... (since Darwyn Cooke has done full drama stuff)
I narrowed it down to... it must be the art style. If it simply looks cartoony, they must be a "Cartoonist."
But...

I don't have a real answer for you, but in my books it's about being more from the animation school than the illustration side of things.
The former being more cartoonists, its about how they build the figure and more of an emphasis on movement as opposed to creating a detailed scene. Cartoonists emphasize things like squash and stretch, illustration based comic artists would focus more on line quality and the scene as a whole. So someone like Tarr might have a toony style, but the way she draws her figures and scenes is far more illustrative to me

As someone in the art industry, it really depends on what you want to sell yourself as. I prefer to use "illustrator" when submitting for a new gig or contract job, and my business card says "Graphic artist and Illustrator".
However you can change it depending on what you're trying to do. Like with my web comic, I'd say I'm the cartoonist or illustrator. I wouldn't say comic artist since it's so cartoony I personally don't think it's quite "artsy" enough.
