Thanks to this episode of The Simpsons, I used to think Mohammed was a brand of mayo and Ramadan was a spicy plate.
Because of JLU, I didn't know the character was called Martian Manhunter. They always just called him J'onn and never his superhero name.
I thought all jawbreakers were the size of your head thanks to Ed Edd n Eddy. I also thought they would be good.

Here in Brazil we call him "Ajax", which is also a brand of bleach.
Which has had a better record with their serieses. I feel CN takes the cake.
And what is the real plural of series?
Cartoon Network may appeal to tumblr now but at least they are trying and airing cartoons unlike Nick or Disney.

>the real plural of series
Wiktionary says "series". It's its own plural.
Anyway my money is on Nick. But that's mainly because I've seen more of their shows. I never watched CN classics like EE&E or Courage. Plus they've got Avatar.

With this I have proven that Cartoon Network is 42% better than Nick.
Why is Superman the one character still stuck in the silver age?
According to what?
You're going to have to elaborate here.
There have been plenty of darker, more "modern" portrayals of Superman.
And Superman is hardly the only character with a tendency to resist the moodier, morally ambiguous "modern" style. What can you say about Superman's sunny optimism that couldn't be said of Shazam or Captain America? Or Batman, the edgelord who got "Brave and the Bold," "Li'l Gotham," and an ongoing based on the Adam West show?
Ultimately you're just cherrypicking portrayals...

any attempt to update or modernize superman is looked at as being edgy and shit
The whole ridiculously overpowered flying brick archetype is silver age as fuck.

Why is everything on this show so ugly? Don't get me wrong, I love this show to death; but the character designs, the scenery is all very half assed. Is this intentional? Is it supposed to look like a child drew it?
>>77437096
it's half style, half the creators seeing what they can get away with. This and Aqua Teen were okay, 12 oz, too much slack. But the style is a legitimate argument, that the show and that region of the US don't try very hard at anything and the South is shitty.

>Is this intentional? Is it supposed to look like a child drew it?
Based on the deformed deputy sheriff I'll say yes
>>77437175
>the South is shitty.
Honestly living in Georgia makes the whole series so much more entertaining.
So let me get this straight: Every time Superman saves the day, Clark Kent mysteriously disappears without a trace yet he's always the first to get the scoop.
Seems kinda fishy to me, what's his secret?
>>77437070
Superman probably sends him a text before a big scene or something. Its pretty obvious desu senpai
It's called "reporting", you damned hack.
He grew up on farm, he knows what a day's work is! Not like the rest of those lollygaggers at the Daily Planet who just stand around mouth agape as a 5th Dimensional being transforms half their city into candy that actually makes you lose weight if you eat it. Clark is out there on the street getting his work done
Don't be trigger happy mods, there won't be any perverse nudity shown in the pages of this book.
HotDiggedyDemon sucks hot thickedy semen
Epic senpai

So, which Captain Marvel-centric tie-in was the best?
Hard to choose. Darkseid War certainly did more interesting things with his setup but Billy himself acted almost too dickish like the writer was told something about his characterization now but hadn't read anything with new 52 Billy. It went overboard with it. Convergence had better characterization but the plot itself was kind of boring. I think I might even like Thunderworld better.
haven't read the latest one, but between Thunderworld and Convergence, It's a close one, but I like Convergence a bit more it offered a lot more from Captain Marvel's universe in terms of villains and supporting characters. But Thunderworld is a close second. I still want to read the Darkseid War tie-in.

Whether their time has gone or they're still on the air, who merits the grandest of grand finales?pic unrelated
>1st Movie
That part always throws me. Like, they expected this to continue into further movies or something?
I don't want a new series, I don't want a web comic, I just want an animated finale that picks up where the series cliffhangered the fuck out of me as a child.
>>77436029
Both Sozin's Comet and Ed Edd N'Eddy's Big Picture Show were good enough I think to be theatrical, and both concluded the series on character arcs which were immensely satisfying.
Fantasia thread, since it's the 75th anniversary of Disney's magnum opus. Favorite sequence?
Dance of the Hours
All the parts with Steve Martin :^)
I'd say Disneys magnum opus was EPCOT, which never happened.
