Prophet thread?
Just bought the first three volumes and this is some good shit so far. Hard to believe they made something this good out of something Liefeld created.

I love this series. It's one of the best books ever to come out of Image.
I really hope Earth War sells well. BTW Earth War is the concluding miniseries that starts in January if you weren't already hip to that. Liefeld has also hinted that the universe/comic may continue after Graham finishes his thing.

Yeah the constant delays were frustrating, but I think part of that was the huge number of people involved. Simon Roy was pretty much always putting up new stuff.
Simon Roy is Prophet's greatest gift to the world

I hope you're following Simon Roy's Habitat in Island.

Everyone blames Hudlin for this but I blame Claremont for that silly issue of Marvel Team Up

Well lesbians win big cred with the social justice crowd, like Korra and Asami hooking up.
Hey look one's brown and the others pale even!
Post characters that are written better as guests than in their own series.

Nah, Jason is written as generic badass on Batman books. So far only Pak has shown a good grasp on his character but is on par with Lobdell's depiction
Spider-Man.

WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWhy was this even in the VHS? Is there even a story? everytime EVERYTIME there's a Goofy Movie showing, WHOOOOAAA WHOOOOOOAAAAA
I don't know why it was there but it wouldn't be the Goofy Movie VHS without it.
You didn't get hype for the movie during Dr. Looney's Remedy? What's wrong with you?
>>77501652
No
I wanted to see the movie, not literally whos
>
That kind of goes into, sort of, the fundamental thing that we’re getting out of the genre, which is our heroic image of ourselves. You know, it’s very much a power fantasy, it’s very much a male power fantasy, it’s very much a white power fantasy.
>
So if I write, as I have many times, a story where Daredevil, who doesn’t have powers, gets the drop on Thor, who has unbelievable powers, people go Oh, that was so cool! Daredevil was so clever! If I have Black Panther do the same thing That’s impossible! It’s like, yeah, it’s impossible with Daredevil too, man. It’s like, I write Batman all the time, in Justice League, where he’s hanging out with seven guys who, by any logic, should be able to you know, eat his lunch without even working up a sweat. And he’s constantly outmaneuvering them, and outfighting them and out-thinking them, and we think Batman is so cool! But when black characters do much less, relative to where their positions are it makes the readership uncomfortable, because they’re not used to seeing it.
-t Dwayne McDuffie
Is he right /co/?
He's sort of right, people get mad about it because they think they're only making the character win because they're black. Which is retarded because Panther has been consistently portrayed as just Marvel Batman for years.
You really just can't win with black characters. If you make a totally original character nobody gives a shit (as is with basically all new characters) like Hardware and Icon, no matter how good they are. If you make a legacy character people will bitch and say they should go get their own identity instead of "stealing"...

The thing with Silver Surfer and Black Panther was that there was a distinct artist error where the armlock appears to be hurting Norrin, which is just bs. The original script had Surfer be annoyed, as in "is this mugga serious, is he really trying to make me go down with an armlock when
I am one with the power cosmic ?"
Hey there guys, Bing Bong here. Just letting you know I'm here to play with all of you and I won't ever go away. I promise!
too soon man. Too soon.
>mfw Bing-Bong lives in the hearts of an entire generation of children thanks to this movie
Such a great thread, OP. I bet you stayed up all night coming up with it.
I can just picture it now: some fat, smelly, empty husk of a human being hunched in front of his computer screen, silently giggling to himself as he presses down the keyboard keys with sweaty, greasy sausage fingers.
Are you proud of the image you've put in my head, OP? Do you finally feel accomplished?
Fuck you.

>Yep
>Okay. If anything bad happens to her I will come right home and I will put you through that fuckin' wall.
>Have a great day, princess
Rest of the trailer was mediocre but that bit got me good.
>>77501156
Looks like shit but I'll probably watch for the cute. Disappointed because I like Bill Burr's stand-up so I'm hoping this is just a shitty trailer.

Who do you think has had the no kill code better implemented into their character, Superman or Batman?
I'd say Batman easily. Has had a better hook through the trauma of his parents murder and it's help keep a central aspect of his character.
>>77501133
I agree to that, it also works nicely with his hatred of crime in the city since it lets him have a single piece of morality that sets him apart from the villains. In Hush Gordon even admits that it's the only reason batman is allowed to do what he does.
Superman, on the other hand, fights world conquering aliens. I think we an give a little more lenience on what separates him from them, thus the code is less important. It's been forever since I was on /co/ are we still fighting about MoS....

Clark grew up on a farm, he should know that sometimes you gotta put a living creature down.
Bruce has trauma from watching his parents be gunned down in front of his young eyes, makes more sense that he would be all KILLING IS WRONG and GUNS ARE EVIL.

>It showed both him and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor in wardrobe that looks like it dates back to World War One, one of the rumored time periods which Wonder Woman is supposed to take place.
>A lot of folks were confused and thought we would see Steve Trevor in the modern day, not in the past. Well, those folks are correct because you see that picture...
