Hey /co/, have you ever seen something a long time ago and never for the life of you could figure out what the fuck the name was? I've been trying for the past 3 days to remember this old animated show about penguins. The fucking show just popped into my head after being forced to sit with my niece for the greater portion of a day and watch Pingu. Any help would be appreciated.
>>77515794
Maybe if you provided literally any details...
Off the top of my head, Scamper, pebble and the penguin, surf's up, happy feet.
>>77515794
I don't think so, Kaiba.
>>77515903
The problem is that my memory of the show is hazy. The only thing I remember is that it was about penguins, and there was a shrimp at some point. I'm not too keen on any other details than that.
Literally rape culture: the character.
They're both fictional so yeah.

I don't know why people draw like that. It just comes off as lazy, like they forgot to erase the eye and eyebrow or fucked up the layers.

MY NEW WAIFU. CALLED IT.
Would you rather read a comic with bad writing but great art, or great writing but bad art?
Do you feel one can save the other?
The only times when I read terrible writing with good art is when I can fap to it.
The operative word here is "read." You read comics. I can look at pretty pictures anywhere. I would rather read a great story than do that, though.
>>77514976
Yes to both ways.
But it has to be exceptional writing (or at least touching on topics I don't see much) and the art has to at least be followable. The art has to be pretty breathtaking for me to get past bad writing and sometimes not even the best art can keep me tied to a story if I actively hate the writing.
>>77514976
>bad writing good art
Maybe
If it's still entertaining I'll give it a go
>bad art good writing
Probably not
If I can't enjoy looking at it then I'm likely not gonna sit through all of it
So did anyone bother reading this?
>>77514807
Dude, fuck you. Right up the asshole.
This was awful and you should feel awful for even reminding people that this shit exists.
>>77514807
Yes
It hurt a lot, but finding the interviews Wilson was giving about each issue made it go so much easier because they were inadvertently hilarious.
>>77514807
Hate-read. Didn't pay one filthy cent.
What Wilson said about certain obvious fuckups being fixed in trade in E2S (APOLLO, GOD OF SPEED) makes me wonder what got fixed in WE trade. But not curious enough.
>karnak #2 delayed to december 30th
fucking why? way to kill the hype
>>77514479
>fucking why?
Almost certainly Ellis's fault since EVERY chapter got pushed back a month. If it was Zaffino or Brown they would have replaced them already.
>way to kill the hype
Delays ruin pre-orders, the sales are going to take a hell of a hit. Not too mention people will probably forget about it since there will be a two month gap between when first and second chapter came out.
>>77514623
There probably won't be a solicit for chapter 5 tomorrow either.
It was shit anyway. Expected so much more from Ellis. Nice to see the quality of the writing matched the art though.
>DC have announced new creative teams for Aquaman, New Suicide Squad and Teen Titans to begin in February 2016.
>Dan Abnett and Vicente Cifuentes are taking over Aquaman beginning with February's #49, in what's described as "a new chapter" for Aquaman and Mera. DC's description of the story is as follows: "In the aftermath of the Thule invasion, Aquaman must show the people of Atlantis that he was the target of a conspiracy and earn their trust once more. And no, it’s not going to be...

>Dan Abnett is probably temporary since Johns already said he was returning sometime in the future.
Okay. Not bad but not terrible either. I'm more interested if he can fix Earth 2spoiler alert he can't.
>Seeley in Suicide Squad, eh I dunno. The current team just grew on me and it kinda feels disappointing that they're being replaced so soon. But hey, Seeley is pretty good.
Seems like Ryan's leaving just as he's...

I mean I WANT to be happy but that premise already sounds like shit. Why must they continue trying to do what obviously does not work?

Hey everyone, it's your favourite DC shill! For the 75 year anniversary of the JSA, DC are doing a 50% off deal on comixology.
>buying comics
>reading comics
This is the first time I'm noticing this, but...does Cyclone look like a giant compared to Stargirl?
Wow thanks mister shill!
Dear DC for the JSA's 75th anniversary may I have a new comic with the JSA in it?
Please?
>>77514281
they look proportionally similar to me
There's one thing I've always wondered /co/, how exactly does iron man's suit work?
He doesn't have any joysticks, keyboards, or buttons inside his suit, how is he able to shoot repulsor blasts, control the speed of his jets, all without touching anything?
>>77514008
partial voice command
movements keyed to activate certain funtions
eye trackers in the heads up
switches he can flick with his tongue
and the ever popular, the suit is part of his body
>>77514008
I reckon it works very well.
>>77514008
I always figured it was linked to his nervous system, but before that was a scifi concept it was definitely transistors, radio waves, and/or cervos.
