Anyone else on this board into Conan and Ka-Zar and Warlord and He-Man and Red Sonja and Jungle Girl and all those killerinos?
And of course, Animated stuff like Korgoth and "Fire and Ice"
anyone wanna discuss? make suggestions? talk about who the baddest ass is (Its Conan, BTW), request or give storytimes?
Or, y'know, if you feel like effort maybe some drawfaggotry, idea-pitching, or attempts at analysis

I think the idea of a barbarian battleworld is really really dumb
Like, if it's a part of a series and the barbarian age is just the past and the future isn't also a barbarian world, then that's fine
But if it's perpetually barbarians, that's super dumb
>>84233706
are you talking about He-Man?
also, have you ever read "Almuric"? its got a pretty neat world of Eternal Barbarians with super-exaggerated sexual dimorphism
>>84233706
i know i'd have a lot more respect for the primitive tribal folks of the modern day if they were more badass and barbarianesque instead of just a bunch of starving little guys without metalworking.
in any case i love this genre every so often, i get into moods, but they don't last. i think it's because there isnt much depth to it. it needs to be part of a larger fantasy thing so when i get out of the barbarian mood i can just nerd it up with some wizards for a while
What went right?
>I love you, Orel
you mean what went good enough?
I want the planned 5 seasons!
The existential horror of life
BEEEE.
EFFFFF.
GEEEE.
Anyone see the new movie yet?

That's a bad troll. A very bad troll
How can one tell apart the shit female characters that Marvel has been putting out vs the good ones?
I know that Gwenpool, Hellcat, Whor and Squirrel Girl are shit, general consensus, but how about the rest?
>>84233358
Also She-Hulk, lets be honest, she has been a shit character recently because most of her appereances have been on shitty feminist books.
>>84233358
Depends entirely on you.
Look at the comic, see if you like it.
That's how you know.
I like Gwenpool, adore Ms. Marvel, find Spider Gwen and Silk servicable but uninteresting and think Wolverine is pretty okay.
Captain Marvel was pretty okay this last run, the one before was completely shite. Whor is boring, out of character and simply inconsistent in terms of logic. Hellcat is boring, irrelevant and insipid.

Hey Megafag. How's your day going?
>muh childhood
>muh nostalgia
It doesn't matter. It's all shit.
The writers said it was.
We need a comedy Justice league show styled after the 60's batman show. I think it would work
wasn't that kind of the idea of Brave and the Bold?
Isn't that what Legends of Tomorrow is, if you really think about it?
>>84233069
Live action tho
>>84233097
"Justice league after hours. where we want a JL show but instead got superman in Atom's suit, and all the heros no one cares about"
can anyone let me know what Nu52 comics if any had booster gold? I wanted to read up on his adventures in this universe before DC reset everything again.
Justice League International, Convergence, Convergence: Booster Gold.

thank you
I think he popped up in Futures End too?
I was wondering why marvel never sets anything in the hyborian age anymore and found out they sold the rights to Conan.
Can someone explain how you manage to sell the rights of public domain work? and for that matter, can't anyone adapt the first Conan story (since it should fall under public domain)?
>>84232137
Conan isn't public domain in the United States. It's a long and complicated story... basically there's some dispute as to whether the original Robert E. Howard Conan stories—which use first date of publication as their de facto copyright notice—have met the requirements to enter the public domain in the US and other countries (depending on their laws on copyright).
Also, Marvel didn't "sell" the rights to the property, because they never owned the rights to Conan. Marvel...

can they publish a comic with Conan in it or would they get sued?
>>84233928
Who's "they"? Marvel? Yeah, they wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on if they decide to publish a Conan comic. Dark Horse holds the comics license for now, end of story. It could all change if someone decides to mount a challenge to Paradox Entertainment's claim on the Conan property, though.
Anyway, if you want to read the original Marvel stuff, Dark Horse has reprinted most of them—the final volume collecting the last several issues of Savage Sword of Conan was released last month,...

How does /co feel about Flame Princess?
She's hot.
Shouldn't have dropped fin >:(
But I want huntress wizard now
I like that she's fat now
Do you think Rescue has a chance to show up again and become a semi-regular character? Fraction didn't do the best job at establishing Pepper as a hero, and it's been downhill for her since he left. But I still kinda like her for some reason. I'd like to see her back.
Why not just call her Iron Maiden
>>84231870
Eh, I like Rescue better, its at least a little different rather than just calling the chick variant of the hero the likes of "Iron Woman"..
>>84231870
Pepper just isn't cool enough. Too bad Bendis didn't hop on this with his new War Machine.
Does there exist anyone worse at their jobs?

What other comics try so hard to be edgy that they come off as funny?

A girl I know finds stuff like Crossed and guromanga arousing.
Apparently this month was the 10th anniversary of Powerpuff Girls Z.
Since that alone probably won't hold a thread, Powerpuff Girls thread, old and new?I haven't seen that crossover yet, and I'm not sure if I should.
the TTG Powerpuff Girls crossover was alright .
Has there ever been a human death in a kids show or movie before? Not an animal character like Bambi's mom or some shit like that, but an actual human who dies and never gets resurrected ever (meaning they're permanently dead for the entirety of the show).
Preferably a female character, because women dying are hot.
Yes. Frozen, if you want a recent, and popular example. Bambi is one of my favorite animated films, but this last comment is an obvious reassurance that I will never be able to discuss it here.

>he actually watched Frozen
wtf are you gay or something?
Fallen Helga and hanging Clayton come to mind you sick little monkey.
Are there any comics portraying nazis in a positive light?
Thanks in advance
IIRC Flex Mentallo had something related to nazis because the editor thought the nazis were going to win the war or something like that.
I don't remember much, if someone could add something that would be cool.
>>84231520
thanks, i'll look into that
