I´m in loveagain
Hope this thread last a little longer.

ITT: Post characters (good or bad) that were created solely because a room full of people thought "Well, we dont wan't people thinking that _____ is gay, do we?"
original Batwoman and Batgirl
She was the token female character because the execs felt the film would lose out on the girl demographic without it.
This is just a bait thread. Good night everyone.
This one and her sisters.
When they were first introduced, they were shitty gender-swapped clones
In the 80s /90s they were shitty clones with a speck of difference
Now they are shitty gender-swapped clones: CGI edition
>Show originally started about a boy and his lighthearted adventures in a world created by a war long ago
>Show then goes into drama territory bringing in many fans
>Show is now predominantly drama and/or psuedointellectiual shit
Why can't a fun show about a boy and his adventures just stay that way with only two or three "deep" episodes a season?
>>78701426
Because the writers behind them are stupid and allow the shitty randoms to influence them
>>78701426
It would lose its appeal to normies and most manchildren.
>>78701524
But AT already appealed to normies and manchildren at the start then lost them when they went into 2DEEP territory
THEY ACTUALLY DID IT, THE ABSOLUTE MADMEN thread
>having Luke Cage say "sweet Christmas"
A relatively minor one, but also surprising coming from the more serious Netflix shows.
Marvel has an odd habit of zigzagging between being embarrassed by their source material and being ABSOLUTE MADMEN.
>>78701423
I remember how hyped /co/ was for the ABSOLUTE MADMENness of the boxing glove arrow.
Season 4 has been full of these, introducing magic to the CWverse, even going as far to merge Constantine with the universe, and renaming the city to Star City and having Oliver actually call himself Green Arrow. Plus, Atom has actual shrinking powers now.
>>78701423
Putting Groot and Rocket to film was complete ABSOLUTE MADMANery.
Ant-Man was kind of that way too.
>>78701423
I agree that the fact that they used Sweet Christmas not once, but twice, is pretty amusing, but unfortunately you posted an image which is going to get this thread shitposted into the ground with "KEK KEK NIGGER KEK"

One of Ten.
Neat, though in my head I always read that strip in Sam's voice from Sam and Max for some reason.
>>78700090
So what does /co/ think of this new bump?
>>78700090
I love this even though I'm not the biggest fan of how Shmorky animates mouths, something about the lipsync, dunno.
Anyway, I'm happy for KC, he's our shining boy.
>5 Years Later and most fans still aren't over the New 52
Will DC ever recover its fanbase? How long did it take for people to accept Post-Crisis DC? I mean yeah it's not helping that a lot of people are just out it for DC (And it doesn't help that DC Higher-Ups are just incompetent in general, it's a miracle that Pakistanian thing didn't blow up since no one reads Superman/Wonder Woman)
>>78696835
Will you ever not be a fucking faggot?
>>78697094
Well, I browse /co/ so probably not
there's no recovering the previous fan base, no. i'm one of them. i can only speak for myself when i say i've moved on from DC. not that i was much of a reader besides Morrison's Batman and a couple of other books depending on the writer or artist. i was already moving on from big two comics in general around that time. when the reboot happened, it was enough for me to quit DC apart from Morrison's work. the reboot seemed unnecessary and actually somewhat incompetent, which is how i view the big two today.
the problem with comics is that their...

Yes good characters are by definition supposed to be likable.
>"This word is bad"
>"Why?"
>"It's number eleven"
>>78696864
But that's wrong you retard fucking mongo ape.
What can this fucker do? What *can't* he do?
Tell me this guy didn't invent dimensional travel and promptly use it to... start robbing banks.
He makes holograms of himself, teleports through mirrors, has projectivle attacks, and while in the mirror world can look out of other mirrors
Yes, he's a blue collar criminal so he's just in it to earn some cash
Morrisons animal man is GOAT
>>78696744
the most powerful rogue. zoom can bite it.
mirror master should be a JLA villain.
NEVER EVER FORGET
May all involved with the creation of this show know naught but unending misfortune
OH MAN I'M A MEME
>>78696379
This would be funny if it weren't so horrible.
>Sana Amanat is the latest comic book pro to appear on "Late Night with Seth Meyers." The Marvel Comics editor and Ms. Marvel co-creator will discuss her upcoming projects with the publisher, and what it's like to develop storylines in the Marvel Universe when she appears January 5 on the NBS show.

so marvel is showing her around for diversity points?
>>78694429
Think she's just marketing herself really well, and since there aren't a lot of her it's working.
>>78694429
yep.
same reason why she was pimped almost as much as GWW when Ms Marvel first premiered.
Is it safe to say that Superjail is the best animated TV series of all time?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XEQUxFrPOI
This shit is just so good.
It's just /b/: the cartoon
>>78693895
Superjail is ugly. It's artstyle is ugly, I hate the character designs, and the plot is just shit happening trying to look trippy. The only way you could make it watchable is if you're drunk or high, and if you need drugs or alcohol to make a show watchable, you're doing it wrong.
Seriously, that giant forehead guy and the tranny guard make me want to puke whenever they're on screen.
Superjail is shit.
No, but parts of Season 1 were well animated.
New promo. Feels like DC's Guardians of the Galaxy, to be honest. Not that that's a bad thing anyway.

huh, why did the first thread get pruned?
this show looks so fun the more previews get released
This was supposed to fill the hiatus CW! Where's the show?
Why is this show so perfect?
>>78690011
>pidgeon is utterly speechless at first
>his huge crisis of who to jerk off to
>>78690011
The asian chick gets naked? May need to watch now.
Is that Varrick and his assistant
Are y'all excited for Norm of the North?
>>78689281
In the same way one is "excited" to see if their HIV tests were negative or positive, yes.

>stock roar sound effect
>"We gotta copy that roar and make it a ringtone!"
I laughed, but for the wrong reasons.
How is this actually getting a theater release?
"Punishment is its own reward."
What did Mandy mean by this? That she's a sadist?
Masochist if she enjoys receiving pain, sadist is for giving pain to others. The way you phrased the quote it seems as if she's saying she enjoys receiving it.
>>78688860
Guess she must be masochistic instead.
>>78688794
>>78688880
She's a sadist. The quote is meant to guide the sub towards accepting pain as pleasure.
