What's the best animated film of all time? I'd say it's either The Iron Giant or End of Evangelion. On one hand you have a smart live-and-let-live parable, full of glancing, acute observations on all kinds of big subjects. On the other, a dark, brutal, psychedelic orgy of sex and violence. It's a difficult choice.
This will inevitably turn into a discussion of how EoE is shit, and that's not /co/ related.
I don't understand why you would hold The Iron Giant above The Incredibles, the superior Brad Bird work and greatest, at least, western animated film.

Never trust birds
what the fuck joe
When is the whole "we're new yorkers, we're the toughest rough neck average joes around!" cliche gonna end?
I'm pretty sure by this point everyone knows NYC for being new NYC and basically full of hipsters
>>78919397
The hipsters are in Bed Stuy and Manhattan. The rest of NYC is and has always been tougher than the stereotypes you see in cartoons.I know this because I have lived in NYC my whole life.
>>78919420
>The rest of NYC is and has always been tougher than the stereotypes you see in cartoons.I know this because I have lived in NYC my whole life.
Why would a prosperous city with an influx of rich people and hipsters and wannabe-actors be tougher than a normal shithole city?
>>78919397
I haven't even seen that cliche in eighteen years
Do you think he appears too much? Like every All New Marvel comic guarantees to have a special "guest starring Dr. Doom" issue. He's getting near Deadpool levels, don''t you think?
>>78919378
At this point he is just a Meme character that I can't take seriously.
Doomfags are even worst than Batmanfags or any Marvel drone out there.
>>78919378
the only post-secret wars comic he's shown up in ois iron man,. what the ficykl are yountalking about?
How do you guys think this is going to work? Do you think it'd be super goofy? Like they have to go into space, to defeat Thanos? Or will Thanos come to earth? I'm hype for it obviously, But It leaves a lot of questions.
Rather have the finale not be on Earth.
>>78919137
no one cares
How is going to space "goofy"?
Moviefags absolutely baffle me.
>Tony Hawk is the king of a skating planet
>First episode has a reference to Xena: warrior princess
>According to his profile, Matt's favorite music is "anything by Will Smith". Seriously?
What other "dated" /co/ shows are still running today? Simpsons maybe?
>>78918892
All of the modern Teletoon shows.
>Will Smith music
Speaking of horrible mistakes...
Is Jaden Smith dead yet?
>>78918892
Huh. I barely remember this show.
It's still on the air?
Stan hates Cartman, right? Wendy must be a pretty horrible girlfriend if Stan spends more time with him than her.
>>78918852
>Stan hates Cartman, right?
no, that's Kyle. Stan and Kenny just put up with his shit.
Stan and Wendy probably hang out a lot off-screen, if they're even still together at this point as it's impossible to keep track of their relationship status.is Clyde and Bebe still a thing after The List?
There is a fine line between Hate and Love
Cartman is a horrible being they all hate, yet they just can't help but keep him around
Then again even if they neglected Cartman he'd just keep showing up yelling horrible things
You're gonna start that comic you always wanted to make when you get back from work today, right anon?
I mean you ARE employed, right?
Right?
cause you'd really have no excuse to not work on your art if you're not employed.
Unless... unless you're a...LAZYBONES
I don't want to get involved in comics beyond just reading them for my pleasure. Fuck you, skeletons.
>>78918180
WOW MORE CHARACTER DEATHS SO EXCITING MARVEL
*yawn*
>>78918180
Okay hear me out here lads but I think Marvel will finally pull the trigger and kill Batman. It's time.
>>78918207
>The solo Ben Affleck Batfilms have been released and are running strong.
>Watching Batfleck 3 when, suddenly, Batman is sniped off-screen by an unknown assailant. All the actors on set look genuinely frightened and confused and no one knows what the fuck is going on. The movie abruptly ends with no explanation.
>Later you go to see Avengers: Infinity War
>During a random scene, Kevin Feige...

I Ed, Edd and Eddy really that good? I had no idea /co/ likes it so much. All the related threads I've seen were just Marie Kanker fap threads, so I thought that's the only reason people mention it.
I remember watching it as a kid, is it worth watching now that I'm older?
>>78918173
It almost perfectly encapsulates a lot of what childhood is like and can be pretty damn funny.
Totally worth it.
I don't know about others but it makes me miss my childhood. Otherwise it's always a comfy watch. S1 sucks ass though and the later school ones are too weird.
It might not be that it's "that good" but that the same people who voted in the poll are also fans of it but they're mainly fans of Steven Universe. Weren't you able to vote for three shows in that poll? So it was generally a "same interests crowd" type of thing. If you were only able to vote for one, I imagined it would be waaaay at the bottom.
What are anons favorite animated films? Mine is pic related.
Some combination of El Dorado, Steamboy, Titan AE and Redline.
I guess I should watch more obscure things.
>>78918084
All of those are good, besides Titan AE which I haven't seen so I can't say.
Steamboy and especially Redline were great in terms of visuals. Though I didn't care as much for the narrative.
If we're counting anime then I'd go for End of Evangelion and Angel's Egg but Feherlofia is still pretty high up there.
Feherlofia is awesome, good choice! I don't think I have one favorite, maybe the Iron Giant, so I'll just rattle off a short list of semi-obscure shit with cool visuals that people should watch.
Fantastic Planet
Aachi and Ssipak
Strings (puppetry is animation right?)
Lascars
Nocturna
So I wasn't aware of this character in the Charlie Brown movie until now. And I was wondering
What does /co/ think of Fifi?
It's a dog

She's a bitch

>Libertini, also known as the boss of newspaper reporter Irwin Fletcher (Chevy Chase) in the Fletch films and as the Tibetan mystic Prakha Lasa in the Steve Martin-Lily Tomlin comedy All of Me (1984), died Jan. 7 after a two-year battle with cancer, his family announced.

Well fuck. Treasure of the Lost Lamp is my childhood.
At least 82 is a decent age to stop living.
>>78918034
He was in the cartoon too.
But yeah, my childhood too.
>>78917412
took him long to die. but better late than ever.
ITT perfect casting choices
>>78780579
desu DESU he's really overrated
>>78780579
I'm sick of Iron Man
Aside from Tangled and Big Hero 6, which I think have already been confirmed, what other Disney movies do you expect to see in it?
Honestly this thread belongs on /v/ but it's more /co/ related than half the threads that get made here.
There is no way in hell they won't shill Frozen into it.
I know it won't happen but Emperor's New Groove and Monster's Inc. need to happen

Please, no more little mermaid worlds.
