What's he trying to convey with this expression?
that he's a terrible actor
Absolute disgust corrupts absolutely

He's trying not to call Batman retarded but it's like he's dealing with a child.
I simply don't understand why I can't be the quirky teen protagonist who has a crush on a boy, but also finds him extremely irritating so I lash out at him until finally I admit my feelings to him, but it's too late because he got another girlfriend and it isn't until the second season that he reveals that he doesn't really like her and I still have a chance. I just don't.
okay Ronnie, if you have any one off, twilight zoney comics in the vault, next week is really the time to start brushing them off

poor Ronnie... sometimes I just want to put a pillow over his nose and mouth until the pain goes away.
Is DC fascist? I've noticed that DC Comics's books and stories have a lot of supremacist ideals and that they play a lot with fascism.
Am i wrong or is there really something to it?
>>79010314
Yes. Absolutely. 100%. Full on Mussolini.
Yeah, DC is front for Fourth Reich. They even have Captain Nazi, for Christ's sake!
>>79010314
That Wondie costume is so close to being good yet so far
>DC's big event comics are considered to be genre-defining and responsible for changing the medium
>DC housed Alan Moore and Frank Miller during the times they made their most famous works
>DC's multiverse lore has been delved into constantly enough where it has now been clearly defined
>a majority of DC's golden age characters have been repurposed over the years and even made interesting enough to carry their own series set in modern times

Man I love DC but Marvel had the zetigeist by the balls.
Check out Chris Sims's articles, he does really solid analysis of the companies and how they shaped each other, but to tldr; it, Marvel figured out how to reach the market from kids to teenagers and it changed everything.

Marvel was more appealing to teenagers and during the Silver Age they were the "grown up comics" against DC's "kiddie drivel", so it sort of stuck. Marvel also cultivated a more cult-like mentality amongst their fans with shit like "Make Mine Marvel" and being a "Marvel Zombie". They've always appealed more to the lowest common denominator and therefore remained more popular. That's not to say there isn't anything great at Marvel but how often do you see...

And to think nowadays this is the reverse. Marvel is for little children and DC is seeing as for grown ups.
What could the MCU do for Spiderman that hasn't already been done before?

>What could the MCU do for Spiderman that hasn't already been done before?
Put him in a good movie that doesn't instantly kill off his villains.

Show Spider-Man as actually having a mentor to look up to and how he fits in as a relative child in an adult world.

Are there any comics with good representation of trans or other LGBT+ people?
>>79009477
Sure; just check anything published by Marvel or Image, or at webcomics.
>>79009477
Barely.
And I'm going with the phrase "good representation" here. There is certainly a lot of representation, but hardly any that could be deemed "good".
>>79009477
>tfw Sailor Moon did transpeople way before that shit was popular in US media
>tfw nobody gave a single shit
>tfw suddenly everyone is raging over that shit like it was something oddworldly new thing

It tried "modernizing" everything, but for some reason they thought "modernizing" meant making everyone an unlikeable asshole (except Thor, whose a hobo hippie, so also unrecognizable).
There's a reason I would never recommend the Ultimates to new readers interested by the movies. Right-wing Cap, Cannibal Hulk, Pym trying to kill Janet by having ants eat her and all that other crap would turn them away.
Who is the best Nick dad, /co/?

It's really not fair when nearly all cartoon couples follow the retard husband sexy/smart wife formula.
I used to be the type of person that said i knew everything about a comic book character, and immediately check facts about them on wikipedia.

I got into comics with Civil War and I thought it was amazing.
Akira, Dragonball Z, Naruto, One Piece, Gundam, and Fist of the North Star are all more /co/ related than /a/ related

So does /co/. It's like anyone reads comics anymore.

With Homestucks final (or next to final) update coming up in only THREE months I would say now is a good time to start the final reread. At a casual pace if you start today you'll be able to finish the entire comic and refresh your memory before the update without rushing your way through. Go ahead. Take one last victory lap.
To help I'm gonna leave the Homestuck book commentaries in the second post here for the first three acts.
In the meantime I'm gonna dump some of the oldest fanart I have to try and get that old homestuck sensawundah back.
