>the success of deadpool has proven that R rated comic book movies can be viable
>DC is no doubt desperate to get on that train
TRANSMETROPOLITAN MOVIE WHEN
>>81269774
Do you honestly trust WB as it is now to do Transmetropolitan right?
we already have a fear and loathing movie
you really wanna bore audiences to death?
How the hell didnt I know this until today?
>>81269467
>Gay
>that fashion sense
He's a discredit to his people
>>81269467
Real life doesn't have Lobdell thought bubbles explaining everything in excruciating detail.
>>81269467
shut up. nobody cares.
I'm just trying to get into Hellboy. Any advice where to begin? Seed Of Destruction felt a little too slow, though that wasn't written by Mignola, right?
Release order, Hellboy's very simple to get into.
I like Seed, but no, that was written by his buddy. Perhaps the follow would be more your speed. Mike wrote it, it's more action. Byrne is a good writer in my opinion, but maybe not the right speed for Hellboy.
The PowerPuff girls Reboot looks nice

Dear god....
why are they allowed to play sports
Blosm use mussels kek, its suer effective
Does a cartoon need to have things like continuity and an overreaching plot in order to be truly great?
>>81268780
Nah, but it does help the audience stay interested I guess. So there's that.
Do Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons have both of those?
Is there any chance of this being good?
I know it's Tynion, but I really want to hold out hope that we could have a good batfam book
>>81268577
It'll probably be serviceable if Tynion keeps away from Harper. His Tim is alright. He had one Cass issue in BRE that was good. But he's already confirmed plans for Harper so it's all moot. Prepare for another BRE.
Is Clayface in the Batfamily now?
>>81268577
That Harper is nowhere to be seen, and that Batwoman and Clayface are on-board already puts this leagues ahead of Eternal S2.

>In the Battleworld version, you had the section on that wacky map which was called The Regency. When you think about it, all they really knew in their world was the Tri-State area. That's not as far as the world extended -- they just dealt with that.
>This is a Regent that lives in our world, and sees the totality of it. We're also going to see more about why he's doing what he's...

>And Peter has really been doing Tony's bag of tricks. Peter's been, "Look at me, the wealthy industrialist!" and, "Look at me with a major company named after myself all over the world, and my new suit of armor!"
>He's really been stealing all of Tony's tricks. Now we're going to get to see the flip side.

THERAPENEVER ENDS
We also saw a teaser with Mary Jane in the Iron Spider, or Iron Jane costume -- whatever you want to call it.
>I'm calling it Iron Spider! It's Iron Jane in the same way no one calls her "Spider-Gwen" in the book.
That's getting pretty far in the future, but what can you tease about that image?
>It will come to pass. [Laughs] It's not one of those, "Hey, we showed it on the cover, but you never saw it in the book!" No, it's not one of those.
It happens...

Will be better than BvS or will suffer the same fate?
>>81267710
Probably be better, but will suffer sales because of BvS
Suicide Squad doesn't seem to take itself as seriously and has comedic relief
Snyder isn't directing, so it will be a better film at least. Also it has Batman, Joker and Harley in it, it's gonna make shitloads.
Will Looney Tunes ever have a comeback?
>>81266644
WB is all about dark and gloomy now anon. Looney have no place in such world.
>>81266644
Careful what you wish for anon
Just look at all the new Tom and Jerry direct to video movies. They all suck
>>81267474
yeah Storks looks fucking grimdark
Why were Klasky Csupo's human characters so disgustingly ugly? I understand having a distinctive art style, but it actually made their shows hard to watch.
Funny thing, Aahhh Real Monsters would make sense for this style, but the humans in that show were not nearly as ugly as most of their shows.

Worth a read?
it alright
>>81264508
It's one of Jurgen's best works. Take that as you will. That said it's pretty enjoyable imo.
I'm gonna have to get to it now that Jon is apparently a mainstream character.
Why is it so hard for writers to come up with villains for Flash that aren't speedsters or speedforce-draining/cancelling? Are speedsters really so powerful that there are no real threats to them besides losing their speed or facing other speedsters?
Seems like every recommended Flash story I've read is him facing speedsters, losing his powers, or being his own worst enemy. And now we're going to be doing it again in Rebirth.
Also is GodspeedWally?
>>81264036
>Are speedsters really so powerful that there are no real threats to them besides losing their speed or facing other speedsters?
Yes
>>81264036
>Are speedsters really so powerful that there are no real threats to them besides losing their speed or facing other speedsters?
Yes. Despite fans liking to believe otherwise, the Rogues are jokes and could never be believable threats to the Flash.
>>81264329
The rogues were a valid threat against the Flash for a while, but the Flash got some serious power creep over time. When he was just a guy who could run really fast on a city-level, it was fine. but once he started being able to zip around the globe and use speedforce for even greater abilities, he sort of leveled up beyond the ability of most villains to deal with simply because they can't operate on his level.
They're gonna turn it into a Zootopia ride, aren't they?
>>81263275
The ride's too popular to throw out..
>>81263351
That isn't stopping the Tower of Terror being re-themed to Guardians of the Galaxy rumors.
>>81263351
So was Terrorestrial encounter.
I actually really liked BvS, but this guy seems so flakey.
He seems kind of... dumb. It doesn't bleed into his movies TOO much, and I think he has a talent for spectacle, but he seems pretty shifty in interviews.
All that said, I think he's a good fit for DC. Not perfect, but his style is very kinetic and comic book-y.
>>81263261
He'd be a great cinematographer, but he shouldn't be anywhere near a directors chair
>>81263432
First comment best comment
He should do cinematography for every action scene because he is one of the best imo
Just dont let him touch a script
The guy just has a hard time expressing himself. He's not a dumb person, but even Nietzsche knew that the hardest thing for the thinking man is putting his thoughts into words.
There's a reason he's a film director and not a novelist. And even then, just look how many people still don't understand Sucker Punch, his most personal work so far.
But then ask any random person on the street what Lady Gaga is getting at at any given time.
Self expression is hard, is what I'm sayin'.
>coldblooded killer
>invited to the Avengers
>given a pass on his past crimes by Steve Rodgers
>continues to kill in cold blood
>other characters hate him but not because he's a murderer, just because he's "annoying"
>>81262430
well. its deadpool. what you expect m8
Has he ever killed anyone who didn't deserve it?
>>81262459
The problem isn't him, it's how he is treated in universe and by writers
If he was some fringe loner like Ghost Rider or Punisher then there wouldn't be a problem
>>81262491
>Punisher
What's worse is that Steve clearly thinks he's scum
