This might start up the tired debate about if magic is science (technically sure if you can study it but I think it's splitting hairs. the issue is making magic into tech) but did removing the fantasy half of the Thor franchise help thematically connect the film to other Marvel films as intended? Do the majority of people who seen the films realize Thor is a alien from a high-tech world instead of some god? I'm unsure if a Krypton clone with a viking theme was really the best interpretation of the source material and I'm hoping Dr. Strange doesn't take a...

>actually thinking Thor is a Superman Clone
>not knowing that Thor the character has been around since long before comics were even thought up
>>81368705
He said MCU Asgard was a Krypton clone
>>81367506
I think it's more Asgardians understand magic to the point of it being science to them. A laptop is magic to a caveman.
Did /co/ like Grant Morrisons Action Comics run?
It's pretty much defining run of Action Comics.
>>81367435
I thought the first few issues were a bit underwhelming but it picked up really well after.
>>81367435
It was pretty great. Superman and the Men of Steel was really good. And the t-shirt jeans look is fucking genius. It's really fucking good. It would've been better if Morales could keep up a monthly pace.
>it's not a canon-heavy cartoon, but it still has continuity
>characters change over time and references to last episodes are made
Let me think
>Codename Kids Next Door
>Ed Edd and Eddy
>Gumball
>Regular Show
>Steven Universe
>Adventure Time
>Tmnt
Rick and Morty balances it pretty well I think.
>>81367408
Yeah, you can still watch the series at anytime and still "get it", but there are still references to past episodes.
Plus, Morty has become noticeably desensitized to Rick's sociopathy.
It will happen r-right?
>>81366210
I wouldn't even be mad. Make exactly like Cable but female? Nigga in 125% into it. No joke
Sire why not they made Bolivar Trask a nigger then a midget
>>81366210
I'll be pissed if they actually use Kiera Knightly.
How did Po figure out the Wuxi finger hold?
He immediately recognized and spouted off information about it as soon as Shifu put him in it. He's probably practiced it, along with many other techniques in his spare time.
>>81365763
He is the Dragon Warrior, that's fucking how.
Why does dc hate him /co/?
He is the only JL founder who isn't in JL rebirth.
Too white.
>>81365477
At least he isn't Cyclops
>>81365477
he has the most powerful and versatile set of powers of anyone shy of a reality warper
and it takes less effort to write him as a buffoon than to come up with villains that challenge his powerset
It's time to stop pretending that this is a good movie.
Reeve is good. The music is good. SOME of the first half is good.
Everything else is bad. Luthor is terrible (Otis, muh land), Lois can't act, and the effects are beyond bad, sonething like Star Wars holds up much better.
>>81365418
>the effects are beyond bad,
This is the only thing I'll contest.
But the first half started the Super Jesus shit plaguing us right now, and Jor-El as Super God. It gave the Kents the short end of the stick. He's not Superman because Jor-El ordered him to, but because the Kents raised him to be that way.
American Alien is great because it totally avoids these pratfalls. So is Birthright and Byrne's MOS.
>>81365418
>You will believe a man can fly
People already believed with the TV show.
It's just nostalgia and silver age shit.
Because if we can't protect Hell's Kitchen...you can be damn sure we'll DEFEND it!
>>81364851
Are you done being a faggot yet
>>81364851
>3 Men
>1 Woman
Absolute shit gg Marvel
Show jessica gets beat by mooks how would she be any help?
Two pages and the end of Volume 2
Where we finally see Rocky again and it's pretty much confirmed he went full desperate psycho.
And as always, the art makes it hard to be mad at the delays.
there was a thread yesterday.
I don't get how this can be the end of volume 2. Nothing happened.
MY NAME IS FELICITY SMOAK
>>81364053
AFTER FOUR YEARS SPENT STEALING SCREEN TIME FROM MORE INTERESTING CHARACTERS...
She wouldn't narrate her intro all the other characters would narrate on her behalf over clips of her crying
>Her name is Felicity Smoak
>And she is the strongest one of us all

AND I AM THE WORST CHARACTER ON ARROW!
Why can't we get a decent Thor movie? Hemsworth nailed the look but he didn't develop the character at all, Hopkins nailed Odin but doesn't do shit, Portman and her retarded fucking friends and father steal screentime and the plots massively suffer because of them. I want to watch Thor movies, not ''Jane and her retard friends movies''. Why did they fuck it up so much?
>>81363888
>Why can't we get a decent Thor movie
his only good runs hinge on 20+ years of continuity
>>81363888
female demo
>>81363888
who cares hes generic alpha male self insert man.
i like chris matesworth but the movies are shit.
First one was passable.
What are your thoughts?
Didn't even know about it
I liked it but it wasn't that great to be honest. I think I just wanted to like it.
I'm hoping the next episodes are better and this one just wasn't that good because it had to setup everything.
That's the long and short of it.
>>81363734
well go check it out yo!
my dad and i loved this
>>81363705
I'm watching the ones that are in canon with each other. I also liked it, and JL: War.
The DCAU is still the best for me though.
t. casual.
My mom's boyfriend loved it too. I'm not really a fan though.
Flash Paradox was good. JLW was one of the most poorly acted cartoons since Problem Solverz
It's not like I'm complaining about the current direction IDW takes with TMNT, it's just that I find it a bit ironic considering what people kept complaining about in the past.
>>81363084
People complained about the 4kids stuff?
Honestly IDW is just taking everything, Mirage, 80's, 4kids, Tk12 (with Pigeon Pete) and combining it while doing their own thing, and so far it's been working out great.
>Darius Dun
>Agent Bishop
Damn I need to read this shit.
>>81363775
>Darius Dun
You're excited for him?
Have you seen the latest episode from archer?
Did you like it?
>>81362913
Wasn't very funny. I'm over Archer.
It was good. The opening scene sort of confused me though. Was that Sterling in the pool? Is Adam Reed bring the series to an end? I think it's great that Sterling and Mallory have to eat the proverbial crow by having to work for Cyril Figgus for a paycheck. Archer is being a dick again, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Can't wait to see the rest o the season.
I hope this season ends the series.
