I remember seeing Pic Related when I was young, soon after, I saw the lion king.
I remember back at school, my friends and classmates were talking about how sad Mufasa's death was. All talking about how it was so emotionally traumatic.
It didn't affect me that much as a child, I always thought:
>He was betrayed by Scar, Simba found out
>He was raised by Timon and Pumba
>Why didn't his mother say anything about his disappearance

Not only that, Littlefoot seems more like a realistic kid than Simba. None of this "Oh I just can't wait to be king" stuff-- instead he has to deal with blackbirdism from Cera and her father.

>All talking about how it was so emotionally traumatic
As kids?
>>81295731
I kept hearing "Aww lion king was so sad, Simba's dad was the saddest part"
or "Waaaa, it made me love my family the most" and even, and I wish I was joking "This was the saddest thing that they ever showed to me (kid) in a movie"
all in all, TLBT (orig) was/is seriously underrated, and people were more "impacted" by lion king.
When, Simba still had a big family and was adopted by timon and pumba, he was still a prince (technically), and still had a lot...

Did you ever think that a live action Supergirl show would be more critically acclaimed than a Superman movie franchise that crosses over with Batman?
I did not, no.
Yes, every character should be a cute girl
makes way more sense
>>81291283
>Girl
>Man
yes
In DC it makes sense that heroes generally only ever fight their own villains, because they are spread out all over the world
But why is it such a rare thing in Marvel for characters to fight foes who didn't originate in their comics? Sure it happens SOMETIMES and I understand the reason/excuse of why all of Marvel is in NYC, but it's usually a crossover thing, when it should really be a regular occurance since they are all in NYC.
I think it's a revenge thing, and big bads hiring little fish to take out their rivals.
>>81291109
Thaty only happens with select villians.
Granted, Spiderfoes like Kraven or Electro usually only fight Spidey, but one of Spiderman's most iconic fights was against the unstoppable X-Men villian Juggernaut.
Just think about Doctor DOOM, he has been a villian in almost every major character's books. It's not that MoleMan or The Wizard is any less a Fantastic Four villian (even though they are), it's just that Dr.DOOM is more useful to writers.
The Avengers have battled Magneto, the...

wasn't sandman one of the frightful four or am i misremembering?
either way, theres really no in-universe reason.
heroes usually fight their rogues because they are their rogues. its not like they and the rogues have a city to themselves like gotham, or central city or metropolis. Its all NYC.
"This is the last straw, Batman. Either you rape the Joker... Or I'm going to have to."
Why doesn't Superman just rape the Joker?
"You'll never rape me alive, Gordon!"
>>81290985
Why doesn't Batman politely ask The Joker to stop?
ITT: The Simpsons writers have lost their minds and given YOU the chance to set the direction of the next season. The catches are:
-This whole season has to be Treehouse of Horror-esque, or at worst, shitty creepypasta-esque. A whole fucking horrific season that's "canon". So if you kill off Flanders, he either has to stay dead or you have to come up with a way to bring him back, and everyone reacts accordingly.
-The first episode of the season has to be an adaptation of Dead Bart.
-Bart has to come back to life (or partially back to life) before...

I couldn't handle this responsibility. What could I possibly make that hasn't already been on Family Guy, South Park, or some Newgrounds parody?
>Start off the season with Bart dying.
>In the wake, weird shit starts happening in Springfield.
>People start disappearing, only to reappear days later.
>Although they seem different, not entirely human.
>Eventually we find out the entire thing is this Truman Show/Cabin in the Woods/Dark City deal.
>Springfield has been stuck in this perpetual cycle, with weary citizens being replaced with...

I hand it over to Seth MacFarlane, that should be enough horror for you.
>mfw there are people who honestly don't realise Watchmen is the GOAT comic book movie
>>81290948
it's not though, Sin City is
It really isn't, because they tried making it cool, when the entire point of Watchmen was that these people aren't cool.
Someone I follow put it well:
Watchmen is a good movie, but it is not a good adaptation.
Snyder obviously admires Watchmen, but he doesn't get the point of Watchmen.
do we know 100% what happened with Edgar Wright and Ant-Man
>>81290745
We know like 80%.
>>81290745
yeah the asshole was trying to ruin the movie. Paul rudd saved it.
>>81290763
>saved it
>movie was the definition of mediocre
t b h familia, i prefer a bomb at this point over utter sameness and mediocrity
i've rewatched f4 more times than ant-man because it's entertaining for being a mess, ant-man is just iron man lite
How do we get children interested in comic books again?
Why do you want them to read comics? I don't like kids comics I think they should stay uninterested
>>81290659
There needs to sites for Comics like there are Sites for Manga.
Children can really get into Manga because they can look it up easily on a number of websites. Also there needs to be more stories a 13 year old can get into. Things that would fit into the "Shounen" Genere
>>81290675
>I want the medium to die
I feel so bad for Stephen Amell
I hope TMNT becomes successful so he finally leave Arrow
He got rich off the show and can probably get a bunch of shitty movie roles to get more money on top of that. And that Arrow DLC for Lego Batman 3 seems fun. Don't feel bad for him.
What the fuck? Where were these guys for the first season? It was glaringly obvious it was a soap and the shit with Huntress proved that.
>>81290123
People should give the writers more shit instead of Stephen Amell.

would it be good /co/?
I believe in him.
>>81289664

Who is best Magician(s) in DC and Marvel would you say? anything to do with magic
My personal pick
Dr Fate
Zatana
Constantine
Dr Strange
>>81289659
Doom
>>81289706
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
>>81289659
Fate, Zatana and Strange are literally deux ex machinas
Constantine is more grounded and Alan Moore's tulpa

How mad would you be?
Tony's best friend is his ego.

People honestly think Bruce stopped what he was doing because both of their mothers had the same name? Really?
You're saying it wasn't because Bruce had, up until that point, viewed Superman as nothing more than a symbol of otherworldly power, before being hit with the realization that he was a feeling being with loved ones like anybody else?
You're saying it wasn't because Bruce realized that he had been blinded by vengeance, and was about to kill a good man, which is behavior only befitting...

Oh fuck off. If Clark said a name in Klingon instead of Martha, Bruce would have speared him.
Did you miss me, /co/?
>>81287489
god damn.
god FUCKING damn that art is GORGEOUS.
>>81287489
>kept you waiting huh?
>>81287489
OK. What books do I need to buy to keep things this way?
>No Arrow talkback thread
this week's episode was that bad? Or did most of the people on /co/ who still watch Arrow finally dropped it?
The talkback thread was titled "storytime of pain" and had a Felicity picture
>>81287247
I just watched it too. This is bullshit, Arrow didn't earn the right to do a full on bee-man that wears leather.
Also, second black man on team, mystery grave solved.
>>81287530
I must be the only who hated the mystery grave bullshit. It takes too long to be solved and at this point I don't really care who is in the grave now (probably Capt. Lance).
