Okay.

>>81236003
well seeing as how he's actually god, he has an advantage, but he isn't based Brando
What was your favorite moment from the movie?
Luthor creating Doomsday with forbidden Kryptonian blood magic.
Which we know is forbidden because the ship tells us.
And we know is blood magic because Lex uses a hilariously big combat knife to cut his hand.
I fucking love Superman is Jesus stuff, and have no qualms with the films going hog wild with it.
When it ended.
Thoughts on this show?

I like it.
I don't go out of my way to watch it, but whenever I watch with a young relative all the DC refs in the background make me laugh.
It's not the worst cartoon on TV.

What the fuck kind of supervillain decorates his lair with a giant gold statue of himself naked and giving the Nazi salute?

Robotnik, that's who!
Still surprised how fucked up early cartoons was

Ren and Stimpy isn't what you would call the norm of cartoons though.

Post the first lazy/stoner/goof character you encountered in cartoon.
Starting with mine
>frenchfag by the way
Another.
>>81224050
Frenchfag too. I think I liked Gaston a little too much as a kid.
Also this fat turd. It's really no wonder I'm so lazy.
First one of them to be a canon stoner even tho gaston have hints of joint smoking trough out the albums
What was the general consensus around these parts about the Deadpool movie?
Someone told me it reminded them too much of Daniel Way's interpretation.
It was good
It took a bit of Daniel Way but nothing too frustrating. It was a good movie but nothing special in any way and not worth a rewatch.
>>81222351
It went Way-ward once or twice, but most of the time it was self contained.
10/10 by Ryan Reynolds.

This thread is going places. Not good places, but it is going places.
captain america's always been a vehicle for whatever ideology is see as morally superior in america at the time, same as superman.
What's new?
How would you create a rebooted Superman trilogy of movies /co/? The rules: each of the movies should be standalone (no cliffhanger endings) and the third movie should not end on a final note (in case WB wants to do more sequels).

And I just posted that too quick.
The first movie would be a clipped origin story. Less of a origin story and more about him trying to determine what Superman IS and what he needs to do with himself/his powers. Focus a lot of emphasis on the stuff he does that saves people/helps people. Then he runs into Luthor and Luthor makes/uses Metallo and his own power armor based on Metallo to fight him.
The second movie casts doubt. Zod smashes the world's views, Superman gets a little darker in response...

This plotline was ridiculously contrived.
>>81466738
It was stupidly simple
What a remarkable coincidence that the murder of Frank Castle's family was the result of a drug deal orchestrated by his own former commanding officer!
>visiting sister
>see nephew drinking this
>ask him what he thinks of batman v superman
>says he hasn't seen it, he assumes superman turns evil and batman has to stop him
>ask why he thinks this
>he points out his darker suit, his grumpy disposition, and lack of "super-shorts"
>never got the impression that he actually wanted to go see it
So...

This was such a great show. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It's a shame that it didn't catch major popularity and ended up being cancelled early. What went wrong with this show?
Show was actually perfect. Fucking Hub shitcanning it
It was an animated sitcom aimed at adults that got trapped on a network full of very young-skewing toy cartoons. It could have been a huge hit on FOX or Adult Swim.
Elise's job was awful. Her secret spy ninja shit was completely out of place and just a drag.
I don't know much about Steve Ditko but was it true that his Rayndian views made him an asshole?
>>81455759
Yes, asshollery and objectivism tend to go by hand.
Rayndian views make everyone an asshole.
Yes. Even back at the dawn of the Marvel Age, Ditko was a recluse and a piss-ant. Part of Marvel's early success was the direct contact Stan Lee set up between fans and the talent through the Merry Marvel Marching Society, and public appearances (before comic cons were a thing) Every body played along. Kirby, Romita, Ayers, Buckler, they all went with it. Ditko would straight up climb out of a window in order to avoid having to deal with people.
He was asburgers to the max, and a Randroid.
