Fuck the haters, this movie is far more clever and charming than it's constantly made out to be. Not only is the cinematography top-notch and up there with the aesthetic of the likes of Wes Anderson, but beneath all the oft-lambasted innuendos and Mike Myers-isms is some clever social commentary of America in a post-Reagan, post-9/11 society. For a moment I even forgot Alec Baldwin was playing a character.
This movie is a masterpiece. Look past its status as an adaptation of the beloved Dr. Seuss book and examine closely its components as a film and see that this...

>there are people on this board RIGHT NOW who think The Cat in the Hat is a bad movie
It was absolutely hilarious with brilliant cinematography and colors. Bo Welch and Emmanuel Lubezki deserve far more credit for this work of art than the so-called "critics" have ever given them.

It honestly wasn't that bad. It loses steam in some areas but comedy was grade-A.

Yeah, they're set for a role in part 5.
And I figure the reason why Kevin is the jawbreaker distributor here is because of that episode.
They'll need to find out who Kevin's supplier is, which would be easier if he wasn't dead. The supplier probably isn't Farnsworth himself, he just made the things because of some kinda string theory box or something (there's greentext for this somewhere) and the Red Guy bought them off of him.
So anyway,...

What is the red guy's stand?
If he doesnt already have one, [DEVIL IN DISGUISE] would be a good name if it's not used already.
>What is this thread?
Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books.
Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere.
Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't).
If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how.
Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.

Come on.
At what point should I ease off of pixelovely figures on to more complex stuff?
I've already made a few okay drawings, but I'm trying to review figures and make them more natural. I don't really know the point when I should switch just figures to more complex drawings.
I've been doing a lot more requests recently which I think is pretty good practice. For the most part, I've been focusing on coloring and shading more than usual. What can I do to improve something like this?

My graphic pen died I think, is there any way to be 100% sure?

Last weekend's thread died on Sunday afternoon because I assume we all had Easter plans.
We didn't talk about much in it.
-New Alpha and Springtime pic (see OP)
-VFT chatter with a WiP (pic related)
-Mostly incapable of getting conversation going
Let's try to do better this time.
Here's a new /co/lette pic.
And trying to continue a conversation from last thread where the link probably won't work, but what the hell.

Nice pic (use it as the OP of this thread).
Of course they wear their costumes on air, they do news reports on super activity and have a whole skit where one of them plays the role of the hero and the other the villain, they switch up who plays what role depending on the day.
Why didn't she listen?
She listened she just didn't obey. You can't get sadness to not be sadness.
What? What did you say?

Brandon Routh deserves another shot at being Superman.

Yeah and he can fight another island instead of an actual villain so Superman fans can be happy
Apparently his bulge was so big in the costume they had to use cgi to shrink it

Anyone have the complete event whatever for this?

Damn why do artists always make Spidey a spindly mess?
>>81495910
because he's stronger than he looks
making Spider-Man looks as strong as he is weakens his brand, especially in a setting already flooded with hypermuscle strongmen
>>81495910
I always though Spidey looks best when he's kind of skinny and spindly. Fits with the "imma spider" thing and his flexibility too.

>As Captain America: Civil War prepares for its Hollywood premiere next Tuesday, April 12, Walt Disney Pictures has revealed that two additional actors are part of the film’s cast. Both Jim Rash (Community, The Way, Way Back) and Alfre Woodard (Desperate Housewives, True Blood) are listed on the studio’s premiere announcement. While there are no details yet available as to the extent of their respective roles, the addition of Woodard is of particular interest to fans of the Marvel Netflix series. After all, it was revealed last year that Woodard will...

Why is reading comic books seemed as """"""""nerdy"""""""" while reading manga is seemed as """"""geeky"""""" and watching the movie/cartoon based on said comic is normal. Why has Western Comics gained a "only """"nerds""" read comic books" reputation while in the GA/SA/BA they were the shit ? I mean, even kids reading comic books is seemed as """"nerdy"""""
>nerdy
>geeky
Hold up nigga, you're gonna have to explain the difference
>>81492517
A "geek" is a "nerd" but with lesser invested in counter-culture and has more of a social life.
>>81492637
No, nerds are good at math and science -- geeks are just passionate about their thing (comics, sci-fi, masturbation...), but both are generally socially-awkward.
Been learning spanish.
Does anyone know of some good beaner comic books (not translations, originals) I could read to improve my skill?

Anything from the golden age of Comics on Argentina.
The most well known classic is "El Eternauta", but "Sherlock Time", "Mort Cinder", anything by Oesterheld, really, is anybody's pick as well.
On another note the likes of "Boogie el Aceitoso", pic related, and many other comedies that I can barely remember the name of, but that I enjoyed deeply.
