Oh god...
It can't be any worse than the Jim Carrey version.
>>81605079
Jesus Christ what went wrong?
>>81604997
Dunno. But all kinds of things went right with Cheetah.

I thought the movie was great
Looks fine to me. Coulda used Black Manta though
Has capeshit ever made you cry?
>>81604850
Spectacular Spider-Man vol. 2 #14 always makes me tear up, and is probably my favorite single issue of all time.
>Drinks on the house, fellas. There ain't no closin' time.
>But you gotta leave your guns at the door.
>>81604850
No, capeshit is for children
So, who will be the villain in the sequel?
Doctor Doom
Deadpool will make jokes about how shitty the Fantastic Four movies were
>>81604730
Oh yeah, the right to Doctor Doom is at Fox. Might be cool.
>>81604446
Cable
Ultimately they end up as friends, but bulk of the movie will be an assassination mission on Cable
Will the Arctic Shake ever catch on?

Are there any good foreign animated movies this year which are not Japanese?
I've already seen Only Yesterday several times in Japanese with English subtitles.
I've already seen Eva 3.33 in Japanese with English subtitles as well.
I actually think the character designs for this movie look okay in still shots, but then you see the animation and it all goes wrong.
>>81606481
Rock Dog, hopefully
Is there any shows that gives you a good impression of the comic, yet lead you to dissapointment?
I've been watching Dilbert, and thus started reading it, and honestly, the show is just plain superior to it's source material
>>81604137
>the show is just plain superior to it's source material
Spawn: The Animated Series is probably the best example
I kind of feel the same with The Maxx, but only with the second half of the book
>>81604747
Spawn had a cartoon? I just saw the shitty (but then good) movie
El Mayimbe dropped some new scoops on upcoming movies.
>WB is considering releasing the R-rated 3 hour cut of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE in theaters.
>Batman is a much more prominent character in SUICIDE SQUAD than it appears. Test-screenings have recently happened.
>SUICIDE SQUAD will launch a new trailer that'll be screened with copies of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. It might have an early released this Sunday after the MTV awards, and it's cut to "Ballroom...

Wasn't he mostly right about BvS stuff?

Hit or miss.
Got fooled by an obvious fake script early into production, which really damaged his credibility.
2019 seems way too far away for a Bat solo film.
should be a good year though, Bat, Shazam & Non-Snyder JL.
A friend (using the term lightly) posts an article about pic related on social media, the gist being Bendis is inadvertently writing Miles as a self-hating black kid. Rather than just taking the opportunity to call Bendis a shitty writer, friend goes off on a huge tangent about how white people can't write POC characters and need to "stay in their own lane"
>wut
So I ask why go meta and accuse Bendis of soapboxing/why Miles' opinion is detrimental, and why either of us should bother posting anyway, me being white and her...

No one is clicking your shitty click bait and Miles is saying his skin color shouldn't define who he is. You and your friend are racist for thinking that he hates black people because of that.
>in b4 nuh uh
I'm black faggot we are just people.
>>81603919
>white people can't write POC characters
Well then there would be almost no black characters ever, and then people would call that racist
I think that issue of Spider-Man about Miles not wanting to be "the black" Spider-Man was the first time Bendis did something really smart with Miles and the whole race thing, and when it was storytimed here a lot of people actually had a positive response to that
>>81603919
>whites can never ever write POCs forever.
How does she read comics? Because it's almost all white guys in the writer's chair.
What's wrong with making him an analogy for Jesus?
It fits really well.
It's a bit hack.
>>81603556
what is Jesus's kryptonite?
It's lazy. It's arguably the laziest thing you can do in a story.
Pixar got its starts and its first few movies in the latter half of the 1990's, but it was the 2000's where they really picked up, and the movies they released in the first half of the 2000's, such as Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles are currently considered some of their best.
Do you agree that this is when Pixar really hit their stride? If so, what made these movies stand out from their first few and their later movies? Could Pixar make movies like these again? And on that vein, is it a good thing that they're now giving all these movies sequels?
>>81603045
I remember a TV spot with Bruce saying, "WE'RE LOOKING FOR NEMO". IT must've been a deleted scene, anyone else remember that?
The Incredibles is really the only Pixar movie that really needed a sequel, and I'm hype it's finally getting one. It and Up are the only ones I watched multiple times in theaters (Though I'm sad I missed my chance to see WALL-E at all).
I dunno, I'd say the strongest movies from Pixar were actually in the Late 2000's - Ratatouille, WALL-E, and Up. Finding Nemo and The Incredibles are both great though.
If these two were on the same team, which one would more likely emerge as the group's leader and how would the other deal with not being the leader? Who do you think would be the more competent leader? Which one would you follow?
>>81602929
>If these two were on the same team, which one would more likely emerge as the group's leader
Team of mutants > Scott
Team of literally anything else > Cap
>and how would the other deal with not being the leader?
Storm off and form his own team to do things better > Scott
Chill and probably end up with a mentor/mentee thing going on regardless > Cap
>Who do you think would be the more competent...

Cap would most likely be the leader but Scott is probably more practical than Cap
>>81602929
Scott. Only casuals are saying Cap. Scotts secondary mutation is literally being a tactician.

>a relentless, calculating and intense head of Security for a global enterprise who is set against Wolverine
>>81602839
Sounds like "Enemy of the State".
>Main villain
>Original character
But why? I'm not a huge X-Men fan, but there has to be someone they can use that'd make a decent antagonist.
OC's don't seem like a smart idea for comic adaptations.
BLEU CHEESE VERSUS RANCH

Looks like a typical "adventure/comedy/kitchen sink for the WHOLE FAMILY" generic material.
BUT, it might be good, or even great, if they focus all their attention on the execution. I once decided to check a very genetic show with a cool look. That show turned out to be amazing, thanks to the level of execution, and the amount of love Nerd Corps put into it.
In other words, if the creators REALLY TRY, Arctic Justice might end up with a solid 8.

(that show was Storm Hawks)

Just what we need, more polar bear movies.
I think the main appeal Arrow had to me was just the potential it had to explore Green Arrow as a character with hours upon hours of story, likely getting to do more in terms of volume than any comic book run could. Unfortunately it simply became the dollar store action figure version of the Nolan Dark Knight movies, before I gave up on it after Sara was killed in season 3. We just keep getting wasted opportunity after wasted opportunity.
If you could take another shot at adapting Green Arrow into a TV show format, what would you do to make him wholly distinct from Batman...

The biggest question I have is would you keep Deathstroke as such an interpersonal villain of Green Arrow? I personally would stay away from things like Deathstroke and Suicide Squad completely, or anything that is too close to Batman. Deathstroke works better as an antagonist of Nightwing
Have Black Canary not know Oliver before he was a superhero. Use Grell's run as primary season one inspiration, since Canary isn't really important in it. Second season, make it Lemire's run. Use characters like Black Lightning, Katana, and the rest of the Outsiders. Make Roy a druggie. Make Mia a hoe.
Not involve Cuckingheim

When are Dinah and Oliver supposed to meet anyway?
