Spencer
Good evening owls of /co/,
we survived THE CULLING
>>82424268
Hey I'm making the faces the Legionnaires are making!
>>82424268
The Culling was actually not quite as bad as I was expecting. Mostly because it seems like very little happened in it.
Like, the only lasting effects were what, a short lived Ravagers book and a time sphere? And four issues of really stupid fights?
There is like no hype for this and it comes out in two weeks
>>82421112
because it looks like generic destruction porn.
movie may still be good, I had no hopes for DOFP and came oiut properly surprised.
I mean it'll probably be decent. No need to shitpost about every release.

The original X-Men movies did it right. They had an ensemble cast of big actors like Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian MacKellen, Hugh Jackman. There was a lot of draw.
With this turd shit movie, the best they can do is Jennifer Lawrence, and they know that, so she becomes a more central character than the actual fucking X-Men. I guess the studio didn't have the confidence to cast any well-known actors in those roles.
In any case, it can never compare to Deadpool's success, and that's...

>I recoloured that recent Wonder Woman cover Frank Miller did for DC last week. Mine on the left, DC’s on the right. I did this to demonstrate a theory I have that despite the general critical consensus, there’s actually nothing wrong with Frank Miller’s recent art- it’s just that DC don’t know how to treat it.
>In January of this year I tried out to be a colourist for Frank Miller at DC. Not because being a colourist for the comics has always been my dream, or because I’m the world’s biggest Frank Miller...

>I spoke to a couple of editors at DC and the consensus seemed to be that they loved what he was turning in. So why did every blog I read think it was the worst work he’d ever done? I believed I had the answer: that the colour treatment DC was giving to his art was in no way flattering to the type of work he was doing.
>My friend Julian Dassai said it best: “His work is dynamic and, in some cases, verging on abstract. Trying to color his stuff with representational...

>Frank is an artist who is constantly evolving, and his new work seems to be somewhere between Jim Mahfood, Sergio Aragonez and Ralph Steadman. It doesn’t make sense to colour him as if he’s an Image comics artist from the 90’s, all gradients, shadows and shiny metallic finish.
>Here’s another one. Again: my work on the top, DC’s on the bottom.
>All these images I’ve posted so far have two things in common-...

>Zack Snyder has tarnished superman's reputation
>Lego movies are the only theatrical Warner animated movies
This would be a big hit with kids
Warner should give animated big budget movies a try. Only way they can compete with Disney and DreamWorks.
>>82415503
>This would be a big hit with kids
Kids are mostly shallow, edgy ADHD addled drones who are into "cool" and "awesome" characters like Batman and Iron Man -- all about the bells and whistles, the cool toys, having more stuff than the other guy.
I don't know why you'd expect them to like Superman, especially since the internet told them he's shit.
>>82415503
what an original thread, we never get one of these at all!
Specially they are not being made by /tvirgins/ shit posters ''lolol kino, patrician, blacked! lol''

>>Zack Snyder has tarnished superman's reputation
Can't believe Superman fans are this delusional
>>82415565
Yeah, let's ignore that kids love characters like Captain America too.
I am sure it's the kids fault that they can't get and understand Superman.
Why is there no Anti-Punisher? Someone butthurt Frank killed his family member and I don't mean mobsters being pissed off at him I mean son of a undercover cop or something like that. Frank is an asshole btw.

>Are you ready for Scooby-Doo to take on the apocalypse? Because the classic cartoon characters are back in a brand new iteration from Hanna-Barbera and DC Comics... And this time, the Mystery Machine gang is suiting up for the end of the world.
>The new ongoing comic book series -- titled Scooby Apocalypse -- is scripted by J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen, with art by Howard Porter; but the concept started far before they got on board. It actually began with DC Co-Publishers Jim Lee and Dan Didio, who were talking...

>The first part of the process, though, was updating the characters for a new generation. Lee, a comic book artist before he was co-running DC Comics, would take a pass at the designs, then get notes from Giffen and Didio, then Porter would add his own unique spin. "[Porter]'s a little more grounded in reality," Lee noted.
>In fact, though it seems the creative process was smooth, as the members of team were all fans of the characters, occasionally some of the gang would have, shall we say, strong feelings about what the Scooby Gang should look like.
>"Velma is my favorite," Lee said laughing. "I did something a little more traditional. Everyone else got plus-ed up, and she just got a white lab coat."
>Once Porter got his hands on her, though, he shrunk the size of the character significantly, and exaggerated her glasses and other features. "He liked her being a short person," Giffen added.
>Shaggy was the biggest reinvention on the table. The character has always embraced a certain part of the culture, but for Apocalypse he's gone full-fledged hipster... Which hasn't sat well with some fans.
>"We knew it would be controversial," Lee said on updating the look. Noting that over time Shaggy's look has become dated, the team instead turned towards hipster culture to freshen up his appearance. "All these people saying, 'it's horrible, he's a d-bag,' and I say, 'wait... you look like this guy!' It's an unusual look, but it's to show he's visually distinct from the others, and not part of the mainstream."
>Lee added that changing an older character's look is part and parcel with what DC Comics does, using Batman as an example: Bruce Wayne hasn't kept the same costume and trappings for more than a decade at any point. But when it comes down to it, the core of the characters remains the same; they're just "tweaked" to fit their setting.
>"Keep in mind, it's a comic book. If the book does badly... [Shaggy] shaves," Giffen joked.
>Even with the grungier beard and lobe piercings, Shaggy still does have his special connection with Scooby-Doo -- "he's the dog whisperer," Lee said -- and the classic Scooby-Doo comics will exist alongside the more apocalyptic versions. "We've got something for everyone if you're a Scooby fan," Lee said.
>As for the set up? Lee and Giffen were relatively mum about the rebooted origin story, but we can say that yes, it does take place at some unspecified point in the future; the characters...

Think of the most self-absorbed person you know, someone who thinks that everything they say is the most profound and important thing anybody has ever said before and seems perplexed and embittered by a world that just doesn't understand their brilliance and is completely unable to deal with even the slightest perceived criticism, constructive or otherwise.

How many bat signals do you need Commissioner?
Really is there only one or are there several in key locations around the city.
If they only had one at Police headquarters and the building was compromised they'd need a backup.
