Cilantro tastes like soap to me. Will Coriander powder also taste like soap? I have a recipe calling for it and I need to know if I need to substitute it. What are my options if I do?

Cilantro tastes fine to me, but coriander seeds have always tastes like soap. I think in unique in this.

I don't like cilantro but can use coriander seeds just fine. Even if you're not sure, I assume it should be fine unless the recipe calls for a large amount.
Coriander seeds moght be even worse, and they taste little like the herb itself, much more like orange peel almost. I find the leaves perfectly palatable, but seeds themselves taste soapy to me as well as gins that make heavy use of seeds as botanicals.

Tried that, didn't work. I can tolerate avocados as a paste and force them down in slices or chunks if I have to but raw tomatoes taste like bile to me, same as coconut water. And when I say "bile" I mean that literally, as in the bright green liquid stored in your gallbladder that you taste when you throw up on an empty stomach. They damn near make me throw up if I accidentally get more than a small chunk and actually have once before when I was a kid.
And yes, I've tried different kinds of tomatoes. I once got half a dozen different heirloom varieties at a farmer's market to see if they all produced that reaction in me and it turns out that they in fact did so I just made them into tomato sauce instead.

Some people have a genetic predisposition to the "essential" compounds that make cilantro/coriander leaves have a soapy or rotten taste.
Coriander seeds have a completely different taste, because they have different essential compounds, and there's no such problem with those compounds. So you'll be fine.
