Let's talk hot sauce, /ck/. I'm looking for something utilitarian and not look-how-tough-I-am hot. Recommendations? I'm totally burned out on 'cha.

Crystal is fine for Louisiana style. For Mexican I like Valentina extra hot and Cholula.
>>
>>7854384
Valentina, Cholula, El Tapatio are my faves.

Crystal or any other generic Louisiana hot sauce for when such is called for, other than that I mostly use El Yucateco.

only stupid tryhard faggots eat spicy foods
>>
>>7854451
Tabasco is good for eggs like the other anon said, on toast with sardines and anchovies, and other such minimal recipes, but more importantly it's a good ingredient. I never use it as hot sauce just by itself.

That's what Valentina is for.

This stuff. I know, the food is trash, but the hot sauces, specifically hot and fire, are amazing. Not terribly spicy, but they have tons of flavor. Also they're only $1.

Why is the green El Yucateo so fucking green? It tastes so good but it's so neon green.

>>
not the sauce: how you use it.

heat in pan
-kidney beans and stock
-diced jalapeno
-add water if necessary, but you want this thick

reduce heat and add a dollop of mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce.

stir well, but don't crush the beans.

serve over a bed of crisp iceberg lettuce chopped at 1/4 inch intervals and then into thirds at 90degrees

Hey, /ck/. First time posting here, but today I've come specifically looking for a hot sauce thread. Over the past year or so, I've been introduced to increasingly spicy things by my girlfriend's stepfather. Needless to say it's become quite the addiction. Every day I crave it almost as much as I crave cigarettes. Anyway, I've been comfortably digging pic related (at 650,000 scoville units I think It's the hottest thing I've ever had), but it's time for more.

Please recommend me some top quality hot sauces hotter than the aforementioned. Also, tips on how to slowly get my spice tolerance to the max.

God damn, that's some rich people shit.

Tell me you guys wouldn't do the same if you were rich.
>>
>>7856650
I don't know anyone who would have done something like that for $20

I went to one of those magnet schools with a lot of rich kids from super high income neighborhoods but also a fair number of poor immigrant kids, the poor kids had too much dignity to be tricked into doing anything like that
>>
>>7856650

When I was in high school we told a kid we would give him like 5 bucks if he snorted a spice powder packet from shin ramyun. He did; There was vomit; no money changed hands.
>>
Can recommend if you want something different. Pretty hot though.

Valentina or Valentina xtra hot is not only really good but cheap too. Pic related is even better but you're gonna have to search for it.
>>
>>7854384
Valentina sauce is best all around
But if you want something nice and neat get some Cajun seasoning
>>
>>7856328
I've tried it, tastes nice but isn't spicy
>>
Also cha sauce is for faggots
Its just ketchup and cayenne
>>
>>7856764
That stuff is 99% salt.
The mere fact that its in liquid form is astounding
>>
>>7854451
Tabasco has a certain unique flavor compared to crystal/louisiana/franks. It's a lot thinner in consistency and seems to have less sodium than the other vinegar sauces.
>>
these faggots should start paying me for how much I shill their damn sauce.

try the hab version. I appreciate it might be "hot" to some palettes (my siblings who aren't good with spice don't like it) but it's really fruity and delicious.

There's a hotdog stand in Birmingham that I always go to when I'm there. Always get this sauce on it too.

This has been my go to hot sauce lately. Tastes really fucking good and the heat sticks around without being crazy hot. You can get their sauces in potion bottles too if you like the theatrical.

If it was the Ultra Death sauce then I can attest to how fucking hot it is.
I love habanero and scorpion pepper sauces on things and use ghost chilis in my cooking but that Ultra Death stuff is on another level.
>take bottle into work

>starts sweating and coughing again
He did this a few more times throughout the lunch break.

Purple Pam's KISS of Death sauce is freaking awesome. Habanero and a bit of jalapeno - has heat but mostly flavor. I put it on pizza, anything fried, and in soup. Slightly cinnamony and sweet, really versatile.
