Who here has tried the Mcdonalds Lobster roll?

I'm eating one right now, ask me anything.

Does your mom have a fat ass?
>>
>>7827834

where?
>>
>>7827834
I tried one last night for the first time. I noticed that it appeared to be lacking tail meat and that it tasted suspiciously like crab.
>>

>lobster at McDondalds
>>
>>7827850
From Ny, haven't been to Mcdonalds in forever and drove past one that had a "Lobster Roll" sign infront of it in Connecticut.

It's surprisingly not bad, the lobster meat taste pretty good, a bit watery, not buttery enough, but not dry or tasteless.

It has good flavor. Could use more lobster meat but it wasn't too little either. All in all I'd say pretty good, would have again.
>>
>>7827856
Claws and knuckles are better than the tail anyway
>>7827863

Try a Mclobster roll atleast once, everything is good for atleast one try. It's like being gay, you don't know unless you suck a dick atleast once or twice. If it's not your thing you'll know.

>>7827991
It's better than the lobster roll at Nathans. The Nathans lobster roll uses stale bread and shit.
>>
>>7828448
>The Nathans lobster roll uses stale bread and shit.
mcdonalds uses only the freshest bread baked that morning by skilled artisans! get yours today!
>>
>>7828465
Did I even say that, you illiterate stupid filthy monkey.

The Mcdonalds bread isn't as spongy and rubbery as the Nathans bread.
>>
>>7827991
Hating on something because it comes from Mcdonalds.

I don't think Micky Ds is great food, but nothing is horrible. You can be fairly certain the lobster is fresh in and real, because if they got caught selling fake or spoiled lobster they would get sued like crazy.

Heck, I trust them to know what mayo looks like, and that looks like a damn fine lobster roll for $9.

Stop being so picky.
>>
>>7828561
>>I Don't think it's great
>>it's not horrible
Pick one.

>>lobster is fresh and real
I am 100% certain that it's not fresh. Lobster goes bad very very fast. So either they have a tank of live lobsters in the back (no way in hell), or it's already cooked and shipped in to the restaurant frozen or canned(e.g. not fresh).

>>fake
Notice that they don't actually call it "lobster roll". They call it a "McLobster". That might seem like a silly thing to talk about, but legally, that's a big difference. It's most likely meat from a "squat lobster", which is a different creature altogether than what we normally expect when we hear the word "lobster"; that's what's commonly sold as "lobster" at cheap places. It might be normal "lobster", but it sure as hell isn't fresh.
>>
>>7828576
>Notice that they don't actually call it "lobster roll"

You're talking out of your ass. They call it a lobster roll and that's it, it's what the sign says. Also it's said to be 100% North Atlantic Lobster, no other crustacean and there is no reason to believe otherwise.

Yeah it's not FRESH, but not's canned or some other meat. It's probably caught, deshelled and cut and then flash frozen.

It's as fresh as can be without buying a live lobster or going to Maryland or Maine.

You sound like a bitter faggot who can't afford an 8.99 sandwhich.

You can get this in Eastern Canada. I never got one (why the hell would I), but my girlfriend did and she said it was pretty mediocre and she wouldn't get it again.
>>
>>7829813
I laffed bretty hard.
>>
Unless the McRib is coming, I don't give a dick about McDonald's.

That's great that you eat lobster from McDonald's though. I'm actually impressed. I once ate lobster from a casino. It was definitely a low point in my life.

Keep your head up OP. You'll get your life on track eventually.
>>
>>7829575
It's also available in eastern provinces of Canada!
>>

I did take a few spray shits but that could've been because of all the energy drinks and coffee I had.

>>7829923
>That's great that you eat lobster from McDonald's though. I'm actually impressed. I once ate lobster from a casino. It was definitely a low point in my life.

I don't get this attitude and the justification behind it. You would eat mystery meat in the form of a rib that is packed into being some weird shape, yet eating a lobster roll from Mcdonalds is going too far?

How delusional does someone have to be to be fine with eating "rib" meat and "beef" and "chicken" nuggets from Mcdonalds but OH NO LOBSTER MEAT AW HELL NAW SHANIQUA DAT DUR SHITE IS TOO FAR POOR LIKE FUR REALZ?!?!

If you eat any fast food then eating lobster from Mcdonalds is no different than eating any of the other low tier meats on their menu.
>>
>>7827870
>Claws and knuckles are better than the tail anyway
lol, no
>>
>>7830143
Tails have the largest meat to space/work ratio but claws, I have to agree, taste better IMO.
>>
>>7827991
I'm no fan of McDonalds, but buddy, all of your food is industrially-produced, I hope you know
>>
>>7827834
Going back to Boston this summer and I'm going to have to get one of these. Summertime McD's lobster rolls are the shit

I don't want that shitty McD's lettuce though.

I'd rather get my cellulose from a salad on the side.
>>
>>7830251
>I don't want that shitty McD's lettuce though.
Maybe it's because it was in Connecticut and people from Connecticut tend to be decent God fearing people, but my lettuce was crispy and fresh. In Ny I've had sandwhiches where the lettuce was all wilted and yellow.

You could bring your own lettuce.
>>
>>7830143
Anon you eat frozen rock lobster tails from the Caribbean you don't know shit
>>
>>7830374
Yeah, I don't buy that shit. Never buy lobster tails.

Go to Boston, go to Stop & Shop and cook up a fresh lobster you picked out of the tank yourself.

>Go to Boston, go to Stop & Shop and cook up a fresh lobster you picked out of the tank yourself.

Yeah we're too high class for that frozen lobster shit. We got to go to Stop and Shop and get some FRESH lobster.

>>7830398
I hear that and I agree. Some places will have very lively lobster and other places will have a 75% dead lobsters on their way out but sitting in water. All depends, that's why besides losing some texture and slight flavor I don't have a problem with fresh lobster caught, prepared, and frozen. It's sometimes better than a FRESH lobster that was practically dead and festering away with disease in a tank.

>>
>>7829689
Isn't great sea food dirt cheap pretty much everywhere in New England and Upstate?
>>
>>7830143
oh yes.
>>
>>7830769
Yeah. I go to Maine sometimes and it's even cheaper there. There are locations near beaches by the boats where there are shops and restaurants. Everywhere there are lobster dishes, fresh lobster obviously and by the docks there are small kiosk restaurant type of hole in the wall places that serve food and are owned in part by a particular fisherman or fishermen.

Usually you can buy one and get a second one free. Steamed 1 pd lobster served in a cardboard tray with butter. So you get two.

Fried oysters and clams can be hit or miss but are usually always really good. Oyster sandwhiches are difficult to make good apparently, few good of those. Lobster rolls everywhere.
>>
>>7830769
Yeah I don't get what the market is for this. I visited Boston last year, went to this little seafood shack there and was able to get 2 lobster rolls for like $6 each. Who in their right mind there would pay $9 for a McDonald's lobster roll?
>>
It doesn't even look appetizing.
>>
>>7827834
That is not real lobster meat. It's called mock lobster meat; made from various discarded meat carcass mixed & filler substances, with artificial lobster flavoring. Made in China.
>>
>>7830409
I spent a year in northern maine, place is a fucking shithole but my god the lobster prices were amazing. I had a neighbor that would catch them himself so they were minutes out of the water fresh.

The precooked frozen knuckle and claw meat that is used in most restaurants is fucking dog shit. It's even worse than canned crab meat.

Give me a frozen lobster tail any day over that precooked claw shit.

What did you add to this thread by posting that?

Are you like 13?

I always thought the summerfag meme was just that, a meme, but it seems like this summer I've noticed it a lot more.
>>
>>7827834
Isnt' that something you can only get on the east coast?
>>
>>7827845
Yes.
>>
It's probably tough for them here in CT because we've got our own variation: hot, drizzled in butter and no rabbit food. Also, split top bun rather than side split roll. Although most places will make them cold if you ask

Personally, I usually go for the fried scallops at the clam shacks, since the local bay scallops are sublimely good. NB: these are not those stupid eraser heads they call bay scallops in the supermarket
>>
>>7827910

They do that because the cups are clear so when people order a water they don't just fill it with soda.
>>
>>7833170
What are they gonna do if they do

Mainefag here - the lobster roll is fucking retarded. Why would I pay $20 for a lobster roll when for a bit more I can get a whole fucking lobster? Also tourists who ask me where the best place to get a lobster? Any place - you can't fuck up lobster, it's not like risotto

>>7831052
Northern Maine is fucking terrible - I bet you got a good price on lobster and stuff because everyone who lives there is a jackass potato/blueberry farmer

>live in southern Maine (civilization)
>go to central Maine
>transfer to the chain grocery store in the gay little town I lived in

They had a seafood yard sale too. It was at a car dealership in a landlocked area
>>
>>7835874
>it's not like risotto

Which is also piss easy to make? If anything, lobster is easier to fuck up because the window for overcooking it is much smaller
>>
>>7835889
I meant to suggest that lobster has literally nothing you can add to it to make it better, as opposed to other regional delicacies - like a samosa, I guess that a better comparison. A retard could cook a lobster
>>
>>7827834
