Excalibur has, by far, the saddest array of restaurants on the strip. Take the escalator up from the casino level and you'll be met with the most depressing fucking thing in vegas.

I've been to all the well-known buffets in Las Vegas, at least all the ones in the 4~5 star range hotels. All of them were overrated. The ones I enjoyed the most were in indian casinos called Pala and Pechanga.

Went to a cheap chinese buffet off the strip last time I was there for like 9 or 10 bucks a person. All the chinese stuff was pretty much the quality of chinese take-out places, but for some reason they had sushi, pizza, and a bunch of other non-chinese stuff that was really hit or miss. Still though, if you can throw down 3 plates it's a lot better than paying the 20+ dollars for the same amount of panda express or local take-out places.

Likely Bacchanal at Caesars Palace.
I'm not a fan of buffets myself, but it's pretty solid and has a good amount of variety, along with a focus on freshness (carving stations, refreshed food that doesn't sit out too long, etc.).
But I work for Caesars as a whole so maybe I'm just a shill. If it means anything, I hate buffets as a whole, and this is at least acceptable food.

Yes. The main dishes are mediocre at best, and the freshness of the ingredients aren't up to par as I thought. The desserts however, are definitely top tier.
