I want to start carrying alcohol around with me. Would a dedicated growler be better for carrying alcohol than a steel water bottle or would they both do the job as long as I clean them after holding booze
Kys
I usually carry one of these, but filled with vodka.
If you're not okay drinking straight, room temperature vodka then you shouldn't need to be carrying alcohol around with you in the first place.
used a plastic one for a while but it held the scent of the booze and it eventually leaked. Got a stainless bottle and havent had any problems since.

just a normal steel water bottle or some hipster meme growler
What's even the point of having a nalgene style insulated growler? You can't carry it around all day, or bike with it, or go hiking with it, without constantly shaking it up.

just a plain old stainless water bottle from rei.
its bigger than a flask, fits in my fannypack perfect. I added a better o ring because I ride a bike.

alcohol is dangerous and addictive.

I wonder if the brewery near me would refill a 32 oz water bottle instead of a growler
Superior growler coming through.

Highly doubt it.
Some places wont even fill growlers from other breweries, and I'd imagine there's some kind of regulation against filling something like a water bottle.

that looks like a coffee mug which i guess is a plus
