I have asked that many times. Everybody got a different story but the one I like is its a corruption of the traditional French word connasse which means nasty slut or something like that. It's supposedly what the French called Cajun soldiers fighting in France in WWII cuz they would come in speaking really fucked up French. Like seriously having grown up speaking a little Cajun French then beginning to learn actual French later in life, it's not even close

After eating 5 I found out I was allergic. It's a real bummer they taste quite good.
I was watching Bizarre Foods and think he was in Finland. Apparently they harvest them there and sell them all over the world but they don't eat them. He served them of their first crayfish boil. It was kinda cool. They're pretty good.
I see my friends in LS and MS posting Crawfish boils. I am kinda jelly. Shit looks fantastic.
