If you want hot chicken, add hot sauce to your buttermilk marinade, and then add cayenne or other hot pepper to your seasoned flour mix.
Then, once fried, make a sauce out of bacon fat or butter, a spoonful of brown sugar, a little garlic powder, hot sauce of your choice, more cayenne or other hot pepper, and brush over fried chicken.
If you like honey, just drizzle it over the fried chicken as you eat it, that's really the best way to use honey with fried chicken.
