man, when i was in highschool an A&W/Long John Silvers opened up by my house. the only A&W I've ever seen in nyc. shit was fucking amazing, too bad they chose the absolute shittiest place for it to be and it was closed down.
Poor thing had to compete with 7 other fast food restaurants and it was by the biggest church in the city but after church people want more of a restaurant experience and less of a fast food one so everyone would just go to applebees, olive garden and bolder creek steakhouse.
