It's a taco place.
In the same way a place that sells barbecue is just a barbecue place not an "American restaurant" because America has no culture.
It's not connected to Mexican culture so it's simply a taco place.
I don't understand why this is a question.

hes right tho.

the united states have no culture of their own.

everything is brought from other places:
german cooking = fried tenderloins or foods
mexican cooking = everything on a tortilla
french cooking = bakery
italian cooking = takeout pizza and pastas
chinese cooking = takeout noodles

i guess the only thing America has is bbq, but emphasis on lots of sugar in cooking.

Southern Italian makes extensive use of tomatoes, an American plant

Brits make meat pies, a Roman invention

Neapolitans make pizza, a Greek invention

Japanese make curry and ramen, Indian and Chinese foods, respectively

Portuguese eat bacalau, a Norwegian dish

Brits eat chicken tikka masala, Indian food

Austrians love coffee, an Arabian drink

Brits love tea, also from India

These culinary masterpieces are central to the cuisine of their respective countries and they have outside origins. Stop being a faggot and recognize

It's mexican-inspired American crap fast food.

In actual mexican food hard taco shells aren't a real thing, ground beef is rare, and the cheese is completely different.

Taco Bell is to mexican food as, say, mac and cheese is to italian food. The difference is that no one markets mac and cheese as italian. But that's it. Marketing.
>>

Tomatoes are central and south american, specifically.

You also forgot the absolute insane love germans and the irish have for potatoes, also native to the americas.

>>7748667
What is Taco Bell? A corporate creation based on the popularity of Tex Mex food. Just like Chipotle is a corporate take on Cali Mex. And Pizza Hut is a redneck adaptation of Italian American pizza, with a lot of effort put in to make it seem as little Italian as possible.

While these foods influence cuisine I would argue they are more pop cultural creations than part of any traditional cuisine. The Quesarita and the stuffed crust pizza did not arise from any cooking traditions, but in the corporate test kitchen in response to various marketing research and other pressures (like the dairy lobby encouraging fast food companies to use more cheese). So these foods are "American cuisine" in the same way the latest Hollywood blockbuster is American culture.

If a majority of southern americans started eating Jamaican food it would become a part of their culture.

It's a Mexican inspired reconstructed hamburger.
Behold the transformation from burger to Taco Bell:
Bread = Shell
Meat = Same
Toppings (tomato, lettuce, cheese product) = Same
Mayonnaise = Cream
Ketchup = "Hot Sauce/s"

Everything else they sell is a variation on this. Whit people are the only ones I've seen order nasty crap like all bean burritos. White are the biggest beaners I know.

>No culture says the man who lives in a consumerist world and typing on a computer which was made cheap enough for the average person to own one because of American consumerist culture.

Not saying consumerism is a really good thing but it is a part of American culture which is found all over the world and have given us many of the modern amenities that we take for granted

Also people don't open BBQ places and call them American restaurants cause people would probable expect burgers fries shakes and Americanized continental food not pulled pork and brisket

You're both being legit stupid. America easily has a unique culture. It's derived from other cultures, although every culture derives from others.

What you guys really mean is that American doesn't have "sophisticated" culture or something like that, but that's probably not true too.

Some of the obvious parts would be military and gun culture, which are there own thing, adequately distinct from military and gun culture in Europe, for example.

This applies to food as well.

The local Indians are credited with harvesting and consuming crawfish before the Cajuns arrived. They would bait reeds with venison, stick them in the water, then pick up the reeds with the crawfish attached to the bait. By using this method, the Indians would catch bushels of crawfish for their consumption. By the 1930s, nets were substituted, and by the 1950s, the crawfish trap was used.
>>
>>7756252
but would they cook them in the exact same way with the same spices? cause if your gonna argue that if someone has eaten it before it can't be part of your food culture.
Then everyone should stop claiming any food is part of any culture other than Sumerian

wienerschnitzel?

>with the same spices
Seeing as how there are few spices that weren't already growing in the new world, yes more than likely
At least originally, because as better, safer, and more evolved cooking techniques came about the tastes and cooking changed too
It's not as if the average immigrant had access to all of the flavorings, herbs/spices, vegetables that we do today (and definitely not as easily)

tl;dr: it's a moot point because current boils wouldn't have tasted the same as the original boils

works both ways...

I doubt the average Mexico born Mexican has a wide knowledge of Mexican food. Just what their family makes and what local restaurants have.
>>
>>7759053
That depends though, like I said in this post

>>7759051
a lot of Mexican cities are more cosmopolitan and have a represent all of Mexico as well as the world in their food available.

And even some people in rural Puebla and Oaxaca now how to cook a wide array of things, which is why their desired as chefs in the US.

>The working draft, which was posted on Facebook, is one large bathroom with a section of urinals behind one door and individual stalls for seated toilets. League said he is considering a type of urinal both men and women can use. So, what does an all gender urinal look like?

>“It’s new territory,” said Weiss. “It’s something we’re looking into. It’s essentially a urinal that has a throat that comes out it’s a deeper stall.”

I think female urinals should exist since it can shorten lines to women's bathrooms, especially at bars, sporting events, and concerts.

Thanks Cletus, just remeber not to fuck too many of your cousins. One of them could turn out to be the reverends daughter and you might get dancing banned because God says it's a bad influence on teens.

What makes you think it will take any less time for a woman to disrobe, urinate, (hopefully) clean herself, and clothe again in an open piss basin rather than a toilet stall?

The issues at hand are biological and social - not something that can be fixed by budget civil engineers who think they are progressive messiahs for having a woman use a "urinal".
>>
>>7759257
Urinals take up less space than stalls. That's why sometimes in bars, you see the women's bathroom has a way longer line than the men's.

And once women figure out how to piss standing up, it won't be a problem at all.
>>
>>7759263
I think there will still be social stigmas surrounding the entire scenario that need to be overcome before the proposition would ever become efficient.

That being said, I'm all for less water-use and faster queue times.

Well at first, yeah, but eventually I think the social stigmas would fade away if female urinals became commonplace. I'm sure many drunk chicks would have no problem using those things.

I wonder how they're supposed to be used though, like do they hover their ass over them or do they stand in front of them the way a guy would?

Food from Mexico

>>
>>7748682

Mexican here

That thing looks like Doritos, then instant ramen, then lemon with piquin, then esquites with the traditional vegetable cream and white "cheese", then two mistery red sauces(i'm betting the dark one has habanero and lemon in it, the other is probably Tamazula), then nacho "cheese", more lemon and then some chicken broth from the esquites.

And yeah, it sounds disgusting as fuck.

The reason why there's always a giant line to the womens toilet is because women use bathrooms as a fucking rec room/therapists office. Trust me, women can pee in about 12 seconds, and that's including undressing /dressing. It's bullshit that they now use men's bathrooms aswell.

There are loads of things that could be for Hawaii, but apparently poke has become really hip in the past decade or something.

Musubi is a better choice, but if you wanted to go authentic I'd either say poi (vomit.jpg) or just plate lunch in general.

It basically has a major role in texture and flavour balancing, which are very basic cooking notions, you should read into them
