Pecan is one of those nuts that if they're really easy to get a hold of if you live somewhere their trees grow. They're normal flavor is nothing to write home about and if the soil or tree is bad they aren't even worth eating. Best to roast them or incorporate them into sweeter dishes.

Cashews are delicious, I eat them every morning in my oatmeal with a banana, it makes it crunchy and earthy and comfy as fuck and they're strong enough in flavour to make it so you don't need too many. Pecans are absolute fucking garbage. Almonds are bad too. Whole peanuts are good but just a slightly inferior cashew in my opinion. I haven't tried any other nuts in a long time because I don't like them in salad and they're too expensive to eat on their own.
