Any time I'm back in 'go, I take my wife's son to a 'ubs game, then we go out for some DD 'za, 'go style. My wife's son likes 'roni on his 'za, but personally, I just like extra cheese and a dash of cha. That boy can really put away 'za. When he gets through with my daughter, he's often ravenous, and he'll just inhale the leftover 'za.

It's been years since I've been there, and when I lived just north of Chicago, it seems like it was called the 94th...
Anyhow, the menu prices are competitive to Chicago's fine dining and the views from this place are breathtaking.

After midnight on Saturday nights they play porn of the TV's and serve breakfast.
Check out Andersonville for some cool niche places: Lady Gregorys is a modern Irish pub type deal, Hopleaf a Belgian gastropub, Acre and Anteprima are both a block or two from each other.
Al's Beef for the authentic and best italian beef in the city. Au Cheval for amazing and simple burgers. Kuma's Corner for absolutely memetier burgers that are also pretty good.

Don't pay attention to this, the Signature Room is shit and is an absolute "muh view of the city" meme.
If you're into beer Old Town has the Old Town Pour House with some stupid number of tap handles, there's another bar in that area from a Bourdain Layover show that is absolute shit, avoid it.
Might as well try a Maxwell St. polish/Jim's polish or pork chop sandwich down on Canal and definitely a burger from Hamburger Heaven on Archer.

Of course The Signature is a meme. But it is also a tourist attraction and would leave more lasting impressions than some hipster cafe that will be gone in less than a year. Maxwell St. is for snotty whiney college kids, slot of eateries have had high turn over rates up and down Maxwell.
Canal St. has some grit to it, and would be a valid suggestion. Also see the Greek Isle Restaraunts.
