Hey CK what do you use garlic/onion powder for? Do they belong in a serious cook's arsenal?
>>

Everyone has lazy nights.

They're good for spice rubs, or any application where moisture would be a problem e.g. popcorn seasoning
>>

NO but one time when reaching for the lube I grabbed on of these and we don't speak of the pain.
>>
Garlic and onion powders aren't interchangeable with their fresh counterparts. That'd be like using soonth interchangeably with ginger or paprika interchangeably with red bell pepper.

>Hey CK what do you use garlic/onion powder for?
I've never used garlic powder, but I started using freshly-made onion powder recently and I like it a lot. Great for marinades and other sauces.
>Do they belong in a serious cook's arsenal?
Depends on what cuisine you cook. I know American southern cuisine uses both a bunch, so if you're a serious soul food cook, they'd be indispensable but otherwise, don't bother buying or making either.

You keep your lube and garlic powder together? Bruh.......

I've never been in a Japanese kitchen that didn't have powdered garlic
>>
>>7714089
How many japanese kitchens have you been in?

Are you a japanese plumber?
>>
>>7714101
I've lived in Japan for 4 years now so plenty
>>
>>7714105
I can't imagine japanese home cooking goes beyond ramen though
>>
>>7714110
Then you have a terrible imagination. Pretty much no one cooks ramen at home, the broth takes a million ingredients, all of the good recipes are closely guarded and theres a ridiculous amount of ramen restaurants all over the place .

this shit burns too fast and tastes like shit

Eggs
>>
>>7714082
see it all the time in aus, pretty sure it's common all over the world these days m8, but it's not good stuff, only to be used if you're a lazy cunt.
