I'm quitting drinking and smoking, and it's made me go a little bit mental. Paleo seemed good because I thought I could just spend this new found wealth on a ton of red meat (and fruit and veg) and magically lose that little beer gut.

Yeah, I Googled "paleo science" and did a little reading. I think I'm just going to eat what the fuck I want for a while until the booze is out of my system, then somehow convince myself to use good old fashioned portion control and exercise to get in shape.
This paleo thing might've just been a way for me to rationalise a gluttonous diet of steak and fried veggies while I'm drying out.
