As a kid my dad would take me out for biscuits and gravy breakfasts each weekend. I'd get a side of toast and jelly too. One time I convinced my mom to take me for biscuits too and she put her foot down and denied me the toast saying it's "too much starch". Never went with her for biscuits again after that.
