Slow cooked food is often easy to prepare and tastes good. My only complaint is that it is very slow

A slow cooker doesn't do anything that a normal stove, oven and pot doesn't already do. And they don't even offer the temperature control needed for sous-vide.
Pressure cookers, on the other hand...

get a good dutch oven or pressure cooker instead.

>slow cooking is slow
news flash. no but really I like them don't use mine that often because I'd rather just cook everything myself but it's great if you got other stuff to do and come back to a meal ready to go
It's good but you gotta be prepared to start it cooking in the morning or even the evening before, depending on the meal.
If you think you're up for it then go ahead. Try an ale, mushroom and beef stew

For the type of cooking you'd be doing in a slow cooker I'd say it's better in every way, including taking an hour or two instead of eight-ten. It also means several fewer hours for nutrients to break down and be lost.
I don't generally use mine for "cooking". I use it for fermenting. The lowest settings on my shit slow-cooker is just in the danger zone. Black garlic, yogurt and chilis ferment very fast and I don't need to find a "warm place in my kitchen".
>caramelized cioppolini in a slow cooker
Pressure cooker is better in almost every single way.
Hubby loves slow cooked chilli, or my famous lamb shanks.
