On my personal cheese scale nothing from Wisconsin has below a 7. I'm a very hard critic and it shocked me.
I feel like it may be time to add Wisconsin to my filters.
Cheese is a complex food and you can't just say "geographic location X has great cheese". There is a lot more to it than that.
OP here:
>Chalet Cheese: 8.5
>Edelweiss Creamery: 8
>Sugar Brook Farms: 7.5
>Cady Cheese, LLC: 7.5
>LW Dairy: 7
See?

Wow, nice generalization fagboy. I'm sure France doesn't have annnnnything like this right? Nope. Not never nope. /sarcasm
>>7649143
No, they don't actually. They have standards unlike WI, WIDF.
>>7648754
Do it. These threads are nothing but Rainman masturbating over how "cultured" he is and how Wisconsin hurt his feewings.
>>7649538
>france has standards

Try Bleu Mounds' Cave-aged cheddar. Perfection.

>What does WIDF stand for?
Fellow Euro-rich here.
It's the Wisconsin Internet Defence Force.
They have 'International' cheese competitions with 95% Wisconsin cheese and 90% Wisconsin judges and declare themselves the best cheese-makers in the world.
Any criticism brings forth the wrath of the WIDF !
Any place in WI make a good bleu?
Damn, I love that stuff.

>Blue cheese is French in origin.

>Blue cheese is French in origin.
It's not really.
It may have been recorded as such but it has been around for a long time, certainly before Wisconsin 'micro-cheeseries' .
>>7650577
It originates from the Roman invasion of Britain.
>>7650585
cool.
>>7648738
WI cheese is good, but not great. I haven't had any terrible cheese from there either so it's distinctly middle of the road.
>>7650821
It's because the milk is pasteurized.
Just doesn't make for good cheese.
oh MY WORD
here we FUCKING go
WI CHEESE this WI CHEESE that
what is your obsession with WI?
Some pretty amazing Gouda comes out of wisconsin
>>7651164
Pretty much anything sold in a store is required to have nutrition and ingredient labels on it by law
>>7651167
This. Either it has to be on the packaging or there has to be a place you can call for the nutrition facts.
