Which is better diet or regular soda?
Diet is better imo. Regular soda leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Diet is crisp and and refreshing.

Lack of corn syrup, sugar, and calories is nice though.

equal, sweet-n-low, splenda, and stevia all have a very VERY prominent taste/aftertaste.
once you memorize the flavors, compare them to real sugar, and find out about the horrible damage that these cancer-causing artificial sweeteners do to your body, there is no possible way you could prefer diet soda

Both are garbage. Regular contains disgusting amounts of sugar. Diet tastes like chemicals and contains plenty of aspartame and other carcinogenic shit.
