I like chocolate but I hate the way they sell it most of the time. I don't want a whole bar, I never want a whole bar. And trying to break or cut the pieces always makes a mess and they never break evenly. Honestly it would be so simple for the giant chocolate factory machines to do it. Instead of only scoring the bar, just chop it up, then stack the pieces and put them in a bag and put that bag in a box. Or just make wafers, or chips.
>>
>>7615809
Never eaten mast bros but honestly what's the problem here. I'd rather eat repacked valrhona than 98% of the garbage that passes for "gourmet chocolate". And valrhona only comes in ridiculous sizes. I eat small amounts of chocolate. In fact I'm going out right now to buy some mast bros chocolate, u mad?

any chocolate without milk in it?

I like me some 99% dark. I just break off a tiny piece and let it melt on my tongue and wash it down with some tea.

I tried 95% since the store I was at didn't have 99% but it just tasted off and the pieces where much thicker for some reason.

As far as I can tell Lindt is the only one who produces a 99% cacao chocolate bar
>>
>>7617036
We have those in burgerland. They are pretty good.
>>
>>7618430
Where can you get those though ? Order them online
>>

Yurop
>>
>>7618455
There are a couple retailers that carry them. Cant think of any particulars but just check whenever you are at a store.
>>
I eat unsweetened dark chocolate. It took some getting used to, but now I can't imagine eating the abomination that is sweetened milk chocolate.
I also like cacao nibs.
>>
>>7618430
>I like me some 99% dark
>As far as I can tell Lindt is the only one who produces a 99% cacao chocolate bar
utterly retarded
>>
>>7618525
I have never seen any other 99% bars in stores.

Where do you go that has a selection of them?
>>
The Lindt 99% is shit quality and mealy as fuck. Goes for all their chocolate, but it's extra noticable in that dry piece of cardboard. It's literal noob fodder for people with no palet or experience, but lots of pretense and connoisseur aspirations.
>the high percentage and cat girls make it extra sophisticated

Yeah, the small square of a dark chocolate bar for me after lunch. Bars last me 20 days and one square is enough to satisfy my need for something sweet after lunch.

Like this you mean?
>>

almost every chocolate maker makes an unsweetened baking bar. emphasis on baking, these products are meant to be used as an ingredient, not eaten directly. but whatever makes you happy I guess.

>>7618587
>not guanaja
>not even one of les grand crus
>>

>unironically eating lindt
>eating anything over ~85%
When you learn more about chocolate and discover that milk chocolate doesn't automatically mean hersheys and cadbury's mass-market products, you might eventually learn to stop pretending to like lindt's mass market products just because their baking chocolate represents what your ignorant mind perceives to be "definitely not pleb baby chocolate for bitch palates"

It's the same mentality that drives neckbeards to seek out unbalanced crappy novelty beers because they're still overreacting to the fact that beer exists that isn't bud light. Or proudly proclaim that sweet wine is terrible and you would definitely never drink it.
>>
What's the best flavor of valrhona?

On their site now, about to order some. Which should I get?
>>
>>7619215
Depends on what you like. For bittersweet chocolates I like guanaja and caraïbe the most. Jivara is a really great milk chocolate, not too sweet and very flavorful considering its milk chocolate. Your preferences may be different though, just read up on the flavor profiles and pick the ones that sound appealing to you.
>>
>>7619227
Guanaja sounded really nice. I went with that.
