I like some newer happy hardcore. I have also heard some bubblegum bounce and nightcore which are very similar. Are there any other cute, sweet, melodic genres like this?

i think it's just because they think their music tastes make them interesting and so each song has to have it's own particular special sub genre title, as if that substitutes an actual personality rather than shit you listen to

all 3 of those genres are pretty similar, basically it's all happy hardcore. Some genres overdo the subgenres, and some don't. For example in hip hop there are well established sounds with no genre name.
