I know a guy who just did what OP did. He was some famous musician or something, really tiny and weird, smelled funny. He died like yesterday from it. It took a week or so to kill him.

It's ok. My mom is french and she always found a way to reuse old cheese. Real cheese is good for a long time. It will just be dry and untasty but not harmful. Before you eat it Camembert has spent months in a dusty cave somewhere gathering precious mold.
If it was really bad, I'm pretty sure modern medecine can handle it.
My french grand mother who went through the war can eat anything and will never waste an ounce of food. Rotening steak, even if trimmed is just disgusting desu.
