this is true for most people. it's pretty easy to get a prescription if you know what to say to a doctor...

for me they just make me anxious as all hell and I am a nervous eater so they do not work.

I don't know where you came up with this, but fat is quite literally filling. It's probably chemical in fact, in that the molecules in dietary fat are more likely to trigger the "full" feeling than carbs and protein.

And it's obvious why: your body wants you to consume more fat to store more energy, so it "rewards" you with a full feeling.

Fiber and protein are also filling, but not as much as fat.

of course fat will make you feel full, at some point, but by the time that happens, you will have ingested more calories.

Foods like plain whole wheat bread, plain potatoes, plain rice, plain beans, are all very high in carbs and will fill you up very quickly, and you will have eaten far fewer calories overall compared to a high fat meal.

That's not to say there might be some sort of long term psychological effect from psychedelic use that can make an overeater want to eat less. But they are hardly appetite suppressants like picrelated.

Your stomach can comfortably hold 1-2 liters of food/water before making you feel bloated as fuck. So drink 1/2 a liter of water before and after you eat. This will suppress hunger because the stomach will keep signaling the brain that it's full.

Our bodies require protein to function each day and can use 60-80 grams of it each day. When your body lacks protein it panics, causes huge seemingly insatiable hunger cravings. It also start to eat you from the inside out (ie your muscles) to supply protein to organs all over your body. I'm not saying go blow money on protein shakes/powder, you can get protein from eggs/milk/meat. When you're feeling hunger crack open a boiled egg (~7g protein) or a nice tall glass of lowfat milk (~16g).

Combine these two things and you will never feel hungry that much Be warned though, do not attempt to survive on protein + water and a few hundred calories, this can cause rabbit starvation.

I used to eat 2-4 boiled eggs a day with a little salt and drank water before and after meals almost every day when I was on a diet. Never felt like I was starving and dropped from 220 pounds to 197 pounds in like half a year. I should probably keep dieting but I started learning how to cook and I tend to binge eat on home cooked meals. Might start next year again, I'm not in a rush to become super healthy.

While fiber can make you feel a little "full" it's inferior compared to eating something with protein. Snack on a boiled egg with salt instead, not only do they have 7 grams of protein but they're cheap, have ~70 calories, and have other nutritious stuff.
