Cheap prices, but quality food.
I haven't heard of Kroger until a few months ago but I've been pleasantly surprised by them.

>haven't heard of Kroger until a few months ago
>one of the largest supermarket chains around
wat?
>>7595222
We don't have any Kroger produce stores around, just walmarts, vons, sprouts, trader joes, ralphs, and some asian places like 99 ranch. Some of them have recently started carrying Kroger products and I've been really happy with them.
some of the worst generic brand grocery items, imo
parmesan cheese block tasted like wax
Cheap prices and good food.
I haven't heard of Taco Bell until a few months ago, but I've been pleasantly surprised by them.

>>7595214
Their cheddar and sour cream chips suck but everything else is pretty good. They even carry stuff like lychees and dragonfruit which is rare for Bumfuck Texas.

>haven't heard of Kroger until a few months ago
Are you not from the US or is this bait?
>>7595243
Ralph's is owned by Kroger but Vons is owned by Safeway. Also, QFC and Fred Meyer are Kroger.
While we're talking about grocery stores, can we take a moment to mourn the loss of A&P, Pathmark, and Walbaums? Any anons familiar with these places?
>Tfw when worked at Pathmark for 8 years.
>>7595233
>expecting store brand cheese to be good
Kroger brand canned and boxed goods are God Tier. Their mac n cheese is better than Kraft.
We have the "Murder Kroger" here in Atlanta.
It is getting torn down and replaced with a new Kroger soon.
>>7595248
Your grammar ams dildos
Kroger also owns the "Simple Truth" organic brand. Its pretty good stuff from my experience.
>>7595579
deli worker, can confirm
Also please don't bring footlong sasuages and salamis for us to slice for you. It's very unsafe for us to use the slicer on a long, tiny piece of meat.
>>7595507
will that end the Kroger's murderous spree?
They got some goodass frozen pizzas. It's like $4.50 for a 10-inch pie loaded with toppings. Hard to beat that.
>Kroger is called Fry's here in AZ
>Went to CA and wondered why their Fry's was an electronics store
>>7595662
Californians only eat semen. that's why.

>the loss of A&P and Pathmark
What? I still have their cards on my key ring. When did this happen?
>>7595689
Yeah man. They declared bankruptcy (again, 2nd time since 2010) last July and liquidated all their stores by November. It was truly some sad shit to witness. A lot of the regular customers approached me in near tears telling me how much they'd miss the store and how fucked A&P was. Not to mention all the older folks I'd worked with who'd been with the company for more than 30 years. It was bittersweet.
A lot of the stores locations were sold to other grocery stores like Stop&Shop, but the one I worked at is totally stripped and vacant. I pass it everyday on my way to my current job. Makes me sad cuz I miss it and the people I worked with there.
A&P totally ruined Pathmark.
Ask me anything if you want. I worked produce.
>>7595233
I quite like kroger brand stuff. Shit's extremely cheap and is pretty good quality. I like when their peanut butter is just $1.
>>7595815
how much PRODUCE did you produce
>>7595815
>ask a pathmark worker anything
Uh... Are you okay? You seem to still be kinda upset about it.
Sorry, but I can't really think of a question pertaining to Pathmark that I've ever had.
Very few know about the true superior grocery store chain.
>>7595854
San Diego here.
I remember based Lucky's before they were replaced by Albertson's.
>>7595233
it's tough because you gotta try each one to know what's good. I was way surprised to taste their knock-off cheezits. Tastes exactly like the real thing, usually a dollar less and the box is bigger. Pretty good granola bars too.
>>7595647
It's way better than Stop and Shop but they don't have any buy 1 get 2 free like deals you would see at Big Y.
>>7595854
holy shit, there are more Lucky's'? I go to the one in columbus, ohio and it is tits.
>>7595662
Kroger is called "Ralph's" is CA
>>7595214
hey kroger shill, can you get me a job with them? I don't mind if its real work.
>>7596182

Remember to lie on the "personality quiz" to reflect yourself as a outgoing cocksucker and you're in.
Get into the meat department if you can, they're usually bro tier
>>7595846
Lol I dunno man, just putting myself out there if anyone's curious. I know by the end they were pretty shi t tier and ghetto but whatever. I enjoyed working there and miss it. Just looking for other anojs familiar with it is all.
i used to vendor kroger
some of the small ones reminded me of 'super s' stores we had out in rural texas, just dirty and broken with barely any selection at all, and space for like two checkout lanes
it goes all the way to huge ones that resemble a tom thumb with multiple specialty counters and extended wine aisles and shit
iirc you guys can get hydrox cookies
>>7596160
It's a national chain but they have very few locations.
>>7596227
I buy superior Hydrox about every 2 weeks. So much better than Oreos.
>>7596226
Yeah. I've seen some so big they had small jewelry and/or furniture sections. Then, I've seen one so ghetto they had a security guard at the single entrance/exit and the Velveeta bricks had large plastic housings the cashiers had to remove.
Why Velveeta, though? Best I could figure out was gov't cheese was supposed to be similar, so it could just be what someone who grew up on gov't assistance was used to. I've heard Tide detergent was a big one to steal, too.
>>7595854
Hey, that's the Lucky's on hurstbourne in louisville, I happen to go by that one a lot. Never thought to stop in.
>>7596244
